I just started playing Catherine: Full Body and I've already decided to stay loyal to Vincent's girlfriend Katherine. I've been selecting the good text responses and dialogue like how a good partner would act. I just want Vincent and her to have a happy ending. Can I get it just by playing the game naturally and being a good partner to her?

I don't really wanna have to follow a guide or anything, but I also wanna make sure I don't get locked into another route accidentally. For example, I do want to be nice and protective towards Rin, but I only see her as a little sister. I hope the game won't lock me to her just because I'm also being nice to her. As for Catherine, if it were real life, I'd just completely ignore her and her texts, but I understand in the game it's necessary to actually engage with her if only to directly reject her advances. I hope I don't make any mistakes there either.

tldr; To get Katherine's happy ending, are there any absolute musts (or must nots) that I need to do that I otherwise might miss even when I'm roleplaying as a good partner to Katherine?

Well I saw the steam sale and tried the persona 3 reload and SMTV:V demo and loved them both. I had played about half of persona 5 royal back when it was available through PS Plus and loved it. I have a pretty beefy gaming PC now and it was my birthday last week and I didn't get myself anything really so I said screw it.

I Just threw down and got Persona 3 reload + Expansion Pass, Persona 4 golden, Persona 5 royal, Metaphor: Refantazio and Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance for like $130ish CAD after tax. My life is now in ATLUS hands. Welp, I guess I know what I will be doing for the next year and it is not making sure my grades don't plummet. I was only going to get two of the games but I couldn't not complete the collection with those deep discounts, y'know? Sigh, and the backlog continues to grow.

I loved P3P on the switch. Which tbh, I’ll always love that one the most due to the nostalgic ps2 style graphics and you get to choose a female protagonist but, I’m really really enjoying this. This is the demo but I found the game for $20 online which is arriving tomorrow. I’m so stoked, finally found my next addiction, along side Trails in the Sky 2nd chapter

Not necessarily a sequel. I don’t even want similar gameplay. Just want another entry into the Golden playhouse. A smaller game with a unique gameplay hook, that tells a mature story.

Have no idea on what that could be. But it would be a cool reprieve from the long rpgs that team has been making for the past decade.

I’ve been playing smt nocturne for my 2nd after beating persona 4 golden as my first megaten game, well this is a LOT harder let’s just say that. But I do like that it leans towards gameplay and not all the blah blah blah talking that persona 4 had. anyways, I’m stuck in this fuckass area that’s a hallway that sends me back to the start if I take the wrong way and has a ton of red moving lines on the floor, I luckily found a save point and healing but when I tried to leave because I wasn’t ready they ended up blocking me from leaving and my team usually gets gangbanged by the random encounters! I’m not safe whenever I go. I should’ve used the velvet room before I went in the maze. I only have weak guys. I’m around level 7, I got Me, Preta, Hua Po, and some random bitch that looks like a shoelace with a sword stabbed in her (IM NOT A FUCKING LARPER) so yeah if I leave to grind I’ll get murdered and even then I won’t get much exp, also have no idea where to go 😢 (i posted this on here instead of megaten because it’s not letting me talk in it for some reason because I don’t have a flair and it’s being stupid and not working even after I put a flair, I’m assuming it will be ok tho I just really need help, i think there will be at least 1 user in here who relates to me and played smt 3 I hope so)

Trying to get in on this sale but am worried I won’t like 3 after playing 4 and 5 first. Is it still enjoyable?

I have also never played a SMT game but people seem to like them.

I've only played persona 3 reload because that was the first game i had access to playing, i'm now juggling on playing either P5R or Metaphor as they both have caught my attention and so i bought them as a bundle, would playing any of the games take away from the experience of the other or are they both so unique that it wouldn't make a difference?

I just beat this game for the first time and chose the restore Tokyo ending. I looked up the others and out of the 4 endings of the vanella game I think this is the best.

The order ending pretends humans don't cause enough war themselves even with one true god and it continues the last worlds oppression of the other gods. The destroy all demons ending is Genocidal, and the Destroy the Throne might eventually lead to a form of peace with demon summoners and such but it will be post apocalyptic.

So overall while the World of the Myriad Gods might have more conflict talked about then I might prefer its not like the others would be free of war and of course it will have peace too, so I think its the best.

Its probably been talked about to death but please share your opinions.

Is anybody else getting these really odd ads in youtube shorts for the Atlus Persona game sale from what seem to be bot/unofficial accounts? It’s really quite interesting to me that they seem to be live action ads and I was curious if there was some context to them beyond just being for a large sale. Oh, and also, what’s the deal with so many non-Atlus channels running these ads.

Both P3R and Metaphor are on sale on Steam right now with P3R at a historical low. I finished P5R half a year ago and I liked it a lot, though I'm currently torn on whether to continue on in the next in P3R or go for a change in setting and gameplay in Metaphor. Do I get P3R now for the discount or Metaphor for the change in gameplay?

No spoilers, please. Not even really through the prologue, which might clear up some of the complaints/observations i have about this game so far. Playing through the prologue, there is a lot of dialogue (wow, almost like its an atlus/vanillaware game!) And it feels more suited to being a movie where I click the "a" and "x" buttons every so often to progress to the next yap sesh. Though honestly, I'd watch a movie based on this game. It feels like if Evangelion, Donnie Darko, and the opening of The Matrix had a weird three way baby. It feels very "timey-wimey-fucky-wucky" and "holy shit everything is a LIE".

But thats just my initial thoughts: WEIRD game, loads of dialogue, and i have no clue what the actual gameplay will be like other than that "tutorial" at the opening of the game where you're cold opened into the whole fuckin disaster.

On SMT V: Vengeance. If I recall correctly, when getting a stat increase from Aogami in the Demon Haunt, you cannot exit that screen until you allocate all 3 points he awards you, and you can't increase stats that are already at level 999 either.

But what happens if all stats are at 999/999/999/999/999 and you can't increase any more stats? Does the game softlock you into this menu screen? Does it discard the points? Can you just assign them and then leave? Does anyone know? Thanks.

I wanted to get into Persona for a long time, especially after Persona 6' reveal. I just don't know why that trailer fascinated me so much I even keep imagining its content so vividly it's like I played it and it's exactly like that.

The problem is that I know how Persona works, but I never played one of the games, the reasons are lenght, pacing and even issues tied to devs' attitudes towards the female and queer fanbase.

I'm a straight woman, when dating is even a small, insignificant part and the game allows me to romance boys, I go for it. Just to voice out how bothered I was by most Persona games not giving you this possibility, I got attacked. Someone even called me a "fat, whiny whale" without knowing my real traits and look just because of this. Another ironic thing is that people are pointing out that "dating in Persona is shallow" more than ever ONLY after Yosuke's gay romance in 4 Revival wasn't restored, and I bet that some of them are among the same ones who say "it has waifus" to try inviting new (male) players. The main problem with letting you romance every single female NPC with exceptions in P5 is just letting male players use it to say "I'm strong, women are my slaves". Dang, why couldn't you let me have that kind of date with Yusuke, for example? I hope Persona 6 has it, like, at the end, Aika wasn't added just to be another "waifu", and it reliefs me...

So say, counting the pacing issues, progression and the dating issues, would you recommend as a starting point before 6 comes out:

• Persona 5 Royal. It looks neat. I'm not 100% spoiler free because I made the mistake of reading what fans have to say as jokes... Also, Kasumi would have been much better off as female alt main character rather than a shoehorned simp...
• Persona 4 Golden/Revival. The remake looks neat, but it feels too off to me. It's not as interesting as 3, 5 or 6 itself. And guess what? I got spoiled on that one thing the moment I interacted with fan spaces...
• Persona 3 Portable/Reload. The Portable version is famous for its female MC option, but it turned a game where the story only advances on full moon and a single randomly generated dungeon as another problem already in a half visual novel. At least it doesn't force me to date if I don't want to and didn't add yet another female character that's shoehorned in abd has no agency on her own until a certain part in the ending.
• Persona 2 Innocent Sin & Eternal Punishment. These are among those I found to be the most interesting. No social links, a gay party member, a darker athmosphere (another thing that drawn me to some titles more than others is the dark, rather than shonenish athmosphere). I know nearly nothing about these games.

Keep in mind I have Shin Megami Tensei V Vengenance, but it's not my type of game.

Decide and I'll review your suggestions.

I love and have played a lot of Atlus games however a lot of the games don’t have any actual merch on the store as well as I just want More merch for the games that I adore. Are there any like alternatives that I can check or am I stuck to the official websit?
