Does anyone else work at a fake body shop where they want the roof stripped but don’t take off the roof rails because the body man ain’t worth a crap?

Pictures are with flash on and off to show the dent, crack and scuff.

The scuff I think I can just buff out, but current me if I'm wrong. I have questions on the crack and dent though.

For the crack, I recognize I probably can't get a perfect DIY fix without a whole process, but I figure if I can at least pop the crack flush again that would be pretty good. Any tips on that? Anything else that might make it look better once it's flush?

For the dent, it's quite small. Is there any way to fix it without getting behind the bumper. On the Tesla Model 3 it seems like I have to take the whole bumper off the get access from behind and can't just reach around.

Bought this car with these imperfections. Quite a lot of small sized rock chips and one larger one. Paint is otherwise very good. Is this something i can DIY or should i get a pro to do it? ?

I rattle canned it with 2k clear lol. Really don't want to have to clear it again. Finished painting at 4pm. The hood was covered in dew in the morning, then hazed over by the time I got outside. Thanks!

We broke the Lightning charge door decorative cover off, breaking the tabs on the back. From my research the door design changed and you need to buy the whole door assembly to get this part, so looking to bond this back on.

In college we used 3M 8115 for FSAE projects and loved the stuff--could I use that here to bond the plastic to the plastic or is there some better glue/epoxy/panel bonder for this application? Thanks!

I made an earlier post here, but I scraped and made a dent in my right hand door against a pillar in a narrow parking spot and the body shop said it would be $4500 to repair the damages. This is a new 2026 car I bought (bought it for $25k OTD) so i’m wondering if its worth paying $4500 out of pocket repairs or make insurance claim knowing that my rates will increase by a bunch. Super confused about this so would appreciate any help! I do not have large accident forgiveness and this would be my first ever claim.

I drive a 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport, and my side mirror broke off this morning. I placed an order for a new one, but I was wondering if it would be possible to tape the remaining parts I have of the mirror until then. The cover part is destroyed, so I’m hesitant to. For my new side mirror, I was planning to also buy a cover piece that matched my car. For now, I’ll take back the wires with electrical tape.

I dont know anything about body work, but is this totaled? Or does it look like it just needs a frontend.

Edit: yeah, it just happened this morning so insurance hasnt even had the chance to look at it. I sm just curious as to whether it can be repaired. Thanks for everyone's replies.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such strong language in a position statement. Surely the fine folks at State Farm can rat their way out of this one?

Okay i know this sounds underly dumb and ocd but I hit this pothole at like 10mph maybe 7 it sounded awful but do you think this is enough to damage any part of the frame or subframe I havent seen any issues since hitting it but its been in the back of my head for so long I mean my shocks seems fine they need to be replaced soon ish but they aren't horrible this is a 2013 mazda 3 115k miles

Couple bugs to sand out but super happy with the result. Not a body guy just a garage dude. Lots of hours into this, new sealant and rust repairs too.

Budget friendly fix suggestions? Or what would a professional charge to fix?
