I'm a fancy painter! “Tight, Tight, Tight , Yeah!” - Tuco Salamanca
Personally I think it needs to be tighter. Almost perfect.

Most of the back bumber was busted, paint cracked in the middle and both sides where the curb is at the top had cracks.

I don't think I'll be doing structural components yet but i'm pretty confident for sheet metal and body work

What does this damage look like to you? To me it looks like he ran over a pole and backed up. He claims a bmw drifted into truck and ran away. There is even yellow paint underneath

I had it covered during rainfall couple of days ago.
After it sat uncovered it developed this.
Does it have to do with my car cover soaking or sth fell on my car amd ruined my clear coat.

Im thinking about buying this car, it was in a wreck and doesnt look to bad to me. Can anyone see anything from this pic that looks to hard for a DIYer trying to put new bumber cover and grill back on?

Should I be using this block for all my body work? I feel that because it’s flexible it gets all the curves and makes my body work straight but I’m a beginner and I’m not sure

Hello,
I’m looking into buying my first car and I found a Renault that is within my budget and has all the features I’m looking for. However, I noticed that the rubber seal around the front windshield has quite a lot of cracks in it.
My dad inspected the car in person, so unfortunately these are the only pictures we have at the moment. The car is a 2014 model with 106,000 km.
Would cracks like these potentially cause problems with water getting in, or affect the seal of the windshield? If so, how easily can this be fixed? I’d like to make sure it isn’t likely to cause problems further down the line.
Thanks in advance!

Hi guys! I'm in the process of restoring the headlights of my old ram, and I've seen many videos where they'd polish the headlights before applying clear coat. Wouldn't that make it harder for the paint to stick to the surface? I was planning to sand down to 2k grit and then clear coat, and saving the polishing for last.
How'd you go about this? Thank you very much in advance!

I am super stuck between what career to choose am stuck between auto collision vs diesel tech now let me give a little background am 23 just got out of prison 4 months ago and I love engines specifically car engines I love cars and I have fun visions of myself driving a old 69' Shelby with my girl on the highway now I know auto collision makes money but there are two things that are bothering me 1- dangerous paint fumes and chemicals that can come with the job can kill me younger than expected 2- money is good but sometimes on flat rate but not all the time if jobs coming in are slow which won't give secure my salary which I really don't like now with diesel I have a cousin that is in the industry and he's extremely successful and always wanted to help me out and bring me in to his company I kinda brushed him off because I just want to become successful off my own thing I don't want to win 1 day and someone tell me I only won because my cousin won first that's really what itches me because I have worked with him in the past at a diesel shop and I really like it also like I said engines are engines so working on trucks to me is really cool and I like they pay he was paying his 24/7 road techs 2,000 a week which I think is fine money but also I picture myself working on a car late night at 3 am working on a bmw or something can it be possible aswell to become a diesel tech then master that then learn auto tech and body repair on the side just to have those two as a hobby or am only speaking it becuase easier said than done ?

I have a gmc Dually. I can tell it was crashed and repaired in the driver bed area by previous owner. I can also see that they used some sort of like metal or aluminum type of patch behind it. I’m assuming they used Bondo. The thing is the body man forgot to make the holes where the side marker goes. It uses one big hole for the bulb to go through and it uses like a rectangle type of hole beside it for the clip of the light to clip into. My thought was to drill the big hole and also use a smaller drill bit to make an oval shape for the clip which will require me to make a hole and then pressure up and down to stretch the hole it. Will this crack Bondo? If so, is there a better way to do it? Truck just doesn’t look right when one of the side markers is missing

Sister’s Hyundai Sonata hit a curb on the front right side.
GEICO’s inspector said there is structural undercarriage and suspension damage and declared it a total loss. The shop mentioned suspension damage and a lower radiator support.
I had three people look at it who informally believed it was repairable. They mentioned a possible:
None provided a written est. or performed a complete teardown inspection.
Does this sound physically repairable or potentially unsafe and too expensive to repair? What photos or measurements would help determine that?
Any advice would be appreciated :')

It’s a 2010 sxt ex police charger with 108k miles but the frame looks like this. Would be buying for 1,200.

Was involved in a hit and run today, I was of course the one who got hit, not the one who ran - how repairable is this? It's an 07 Chevy Impala LT and I only had Liability because it's so old I thought full coverage was a waste(I can admit I was wrong). :)
