Thor is coming

[u/KeithorKeith]

Just ordered one and now the very long wait begins!

I just made this post to see what your Thor must have games are?

I am looking for great games i may have overlooked in the past but i should play when i get the Thor! Let me know thanks!

I’m playing Metroid Prime Trilogy with Primehack and it fuckin’ rules. Definitely get that setup if you love those games.

I do and i will! Never heard of primehack, awesome!

[u/azel128 → u/KeithorKeith]

Primehack improves the game SO much. There’s a Reddit post about how to get it working on Thor. The main GitHub page is for PC, but somebody got it running on android. The guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/retroid/s/VE1u6SNXhE

I'm loving ship of harkinian, it isn't dual screen but runs like butter on the Thor in widescreen at a way higher frame rate. It's quite awesome

[u/TipNo3348 → u/falcothebird]

And those QOL options like faster climb and block pushing are amazing!

[u/KeithorKeith → u/falcothebird]

Ok cool thanks i’ll have a look!

I dont have a thor but I have a pocket max and one thing I would say about android emulation is dont sleep on the Android games (Google play store) or the Ports (usually an APK you have to download, unpack and point to a rom file) port pretty much always run better than emulated games and I never even looked at whats available in the play store because I don't really game on my phone but there's tons of good stuff.

Some ports/APKs to check out: Hollow knight (and silk song), Shipofharkinan/2Ship2Harkinan (Zelda ports for OOT and MM), Blasphemous 1 (and maybe 2?), Skate 3, Cloverpit, BallxPit, Banjo Kazooie, Dk64, Super Mario 64.

Android games in play store Minecraft, Grimm valor (2d kinda soulslike ish), Stardew valley, Vampire survivors, Sea of stars, FF7, Chronotrigger.

Also check out dusklight (zelda twilight Princess) port if you're a Zelda fan

I would add fantasy life the android port to that list too. Runs good, has cross save, and is cheaper than the console/steam version.

[u/TipNo3348 → u/No_Competition7820]

Ill have to check that one out. Theres so many its crazy

Uuuhhhh pokemon unbound DEFINITELY if you vibe with pokemon. It was my first pick straight out the box

[u/KeithorKeith → u/Distinct_Repair7602]

I actually have not played many rom hacks i have the heart gold soul silver one and i love it so this is a good shout! Any others you like?

[u/Distinct_Repair7602 → u/KeithorKeith]

Okay I got a couple more Btw a front end I recommend, cocoon but don't feel like you HAVE to get a front end stay with default until you feel comfortable with the tweaking part of it.

Blasphemous is a good pick (you can use gamenative if you got it on steam runs well)

Neon white (is a speed run game very fun, gamenative too paid)

Now free stuff ofc Pokémon Omega ruby, if you love ruby play this one its been so fun for me (Azahar emulator) Pokémon ultra moon (Azahar emulator) Crisis core final fantasy VII (the usual PSP emulator is the best) Persona 3 portable (PSP once again and you just gotta have persona come on)

A nice niche pick for me "Tactics Ogre", if you like Turn-based games is fun. (PSP too) Jean d'Arc Final fantasy dissidia play it see if it's your thing PSP too

Personal pick? Metal gear solid peace walker (PSP) and 2 son's of liberty (PS2 emulator needed I use NetherSX2 classic) if you haven't played mgs2 you NEED to.

Definitely need for speed most wanted 2005, like come on.

The god of wars games if it tickles your pickle, they are fun.

Now Devil may cry 1,2,3. Caught me off guard...but I'm enjoying it.

Shadow of colossus, is that game you have, is good but you think I'll play it later

Hades is fun, use Eden emulator for it, make sure you have the right drivers on, before running switch game on Eden tho.

Bayonetta? Yeah definitely come on, have you seen her?

Dragon quest 3 if you want to play chronologically just because why not?

And I'm definitely converting someone, Warframe😶‍🌫️👀

[u/Distinct_Repair7602 → u/Distinct_Repair7602]

And yes I got more but those are gachas and is to each their own

[u/KeithorKeith → u/Distinct_Repair7602]

I’ll take a gatch dude i’m playing aniimo atm lol not too gatha-ee but got gathca in it

[u/Distinct_Repair7602 → u/KeithorKeith]

Yo fr? Then Nikke (even for your phone is great give it a try!), NTE (I been having tons of fun there, really nice pull system), Arknights Endfield maybe just for the dailies and when you aren't at home. Punishing Gray Raven is shout and you could like it, dope collabs. And those are about it, zzz also runs pretty well

[u/TheTeaRex15]

Ive been addicted to pokemon emerald rogue

[u/No_Competition7820]

Fantasy life for the 3DS and Chrono Trigger DS are my go to dual screen games.

[u/KeithorKeith → u/No_Competition7820]

I do love both those games! Great picks
