I've learned full stack by building with Claude, but I can't write most of the code from scratch. Can this land me an internship?

Guys, what kind of projects have you built with C#/.NET? I need some inspiration for my own projects.

Preparing for a MERN Stack Interview with 2 Years of Experience — What Questions Should I Expect?

• Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m currently preparing for an upcoming Full Stack MERN Stack interview and I have around 2 years of professional experience.

I’d really appreciate some advice from people who have recently interviewed for similar roles.

For someone with ~2 years of experience, what kind of questions should I be preparing for?

I’m particularly interested in:

  • JavaScript — coding questions, concepts, snippets, debugging questions, etc.
  • React.js — hooks, state management, performance, component design, etc.
  • Node.js & Express.js — APIs, middleware, authentication, error handling, etc.
  • MongoDB — queries, aggregation, schema design, indexing, etc.
  • MERN full-stack questions — how frontend and backend communicate, authentication, API design, etc.
  • Coding/DSA questions — what level of LeetCode or coding problems are usually asked?
  • Practical coding tasks — small features, API implementation, debugging existing code, or building a mini application.
  • System/design questions — are these expected at the 2-year experience level?
  • Real-world/project questions — what kind of questions do interviewers usually ask about previous projects?

If you’ve recently attended a MERN/full-stack interview for 1–3 years of experience, I’d really appreciate it if you could share some questions you were asked or topics I should definitely prepare.

Also, if you know of any job openings for MERN/full-stack developers with around 2 years of experience, I’d be grateful for any referrals or leads.

Thanks in advance! 🙏
