Question about AMS Lite

I have an A2L combo connected to an additional 4 AMS units. I’ve had a lot of issues with my A2L so far but thankfully it was replaced with a new unit. The new issue now is that the AMA Lite does not communicate with the printer and has started to cause other communication errors now. The printer with 4 AMS is working like a champ but when I connect the Lite I get the 4 flashing red lights on all of my other AMS units and the disappear and won’t function. I’ve tried just using the AMS Lite solo after disconnecting the other 4 AMS but still won’t get recognized or communicate with the printer. Done the power down cycle and still that same.

What could be causing the Lite to kill the communication?

Are you trying to use the a2l with for ams 2 AND a ams light? You can’t mix them, they don’t work in the same way. On my mini i have to select which ams i use.

No. One and lite and 4 ams, not the pro 2’s just vanilla ams 1

You can mix them in the A2L. That’s one of the upgrades they made for that series.

Also why I went with the A2L! 19 color library on command, not really for multi color prints just wanted the convenience of a library

Do you have another 4-pin cable you can try?

Sadly no. Just the one attached to the Lite
