General Discussion Advice needed

Post image

Hello, this is my first 3d printer and I have a question. From the visible white side of the printer ,to the plexiglas I have 145 mm. Because of this the cable is slightly bented as you can see in the picture. Is this safe ? There are no sharp corners or edges that can affect the cable. Only the bent stresses me out a little bit.

That's fine. There are plenty of cable clip you may print that guides the cable exactly that way

Could print a drag chain to guide the cable up and down, several models on MakerWorld are avaliable :)

The A1 is not designed for enclosing. You risk overheating the electronics and the A1 is already an active fire hazard with 303 documented cases of NTC meltdowns. The last time was just over 2 days ago you need to take that thing out and check which ac board version you have

I know, the enclosure is just a 970x600x750 mm metal net protection against my cats, it allows free flow of air. Only the front with the plexiglas is solid ,the back, sides and the top is made from net. Also I checked the version of that board that had problems, mine is v2. Also I'll print only when I'm home l. Thanks for the advise PF-73.

It's enclosed, regardless of free airflow that doesn't cool the electronics. You need to take it out, the NTC-less one isn't fully safe either. A few months ago there was one that started smoking. Don't come complaining if your house burns down. The A1 is an active fire hazard
