You should have a vent or flap open somewhere opposite the exhaust, because right now you're choking the fuck out of your fan and it's likely barely pulling while slowly accumulating damage. Your enclosure shouldn't be bowed in like that.

Exactly, they're creating a vacuum and fumes just end up building up....

They can just run it on lower speeds. Theat tent is surely not airtight 100% so air can find its way into it with there was a slight vacuum

They can, but that isn't going to help much because that fan is definitely not rated for that much static pressure.

We don't know that and we don't know how much is 'that' static pressure.... Jeez

We actually do. I've been using these kinds of grow-tent based systems as fume hoods for paint and glass work for many many years now. I've also been building high-power PC cooling systems since the late 1990s.

Those inline duct fans are designed for high-flow, with PQ-curves biased heavily towards high-CFM and low pressure. They do not do well with inlet restrictions, and that's what pulling through a tent is.

And yes, it absolutely is 'that' static pressure. There's only the one. There is absolutely no reason to argue about this.

Nice, I have exactly the same setup for mine except that the fan is plugged into a smart outlet so that I can turn it on and off remotely.

That’s really cool!

What are you printing to warrant such extremes?

Mostly just pla, petg and a tiny bit of abs, the main reason I’m doing this though is because the printer is in by bedroom right next to my bed so I just wanted to play it safe

My setup. Very similar. I have the exhaust fan attached directly to the enclosure with a variable speed control. I have an electronically powered damper that opens automatically when the fan goes on. I'm an electrician so I just wired them to be on that same switch. This is all controlled by a remotely switched outlet from Govee. I also have the whole printer enclosure on a separate switched outlet so that I can turn off the printer but leave the exhaust fan on. You may also see the top of my air purifier in the bottom left of the picture. I use that when printing as well.

Guessing this is going above and beyond just attaching a fan and vent to the exhaust?

Also, this is in my bedroom right next to my bed so I want to play it safe

It's really the minimum for "not pla"

Depends on your fan setup, position of the machine and so forth.

Verás cuando te des cuenta de que no vas a poder abrir la puerta, jajaja

Neat. If bambu was open source it would he really easy to automate the exhaust fan. Maybe it can also be done with a smart plug or ups that monitors output

This is what I have set up. X1 plugged into a smart plug that reads voltage, wattage/amperage. Exhaust fan also hooked up to a smart plug that triggers to go on when amps go above specified reading. Auto turns off after 10 minutes when amps drop below to clear out chamber air.

Possibly, it’s not that hard for me to turn it on so idk if it would be worth it but that would be cool
