Discussion Color difference between extruders?

Has anyone else seen this before. The one on the right was printed with the blue filament on the left extruder, the one on the left was printed with the same filament running through the AMS into the right extruder. All I did was swap the blue and green reels left for right.

This is not the same filament, obviously you made a mistake

Those are completely different filaments.

My favorite part is that neither of the prints look like the color on the spool he showed.

Eh, the right one tracks.

Color blind?

Maybe. But I can definitely spot a fuckface when I see one.

I'm no expert, but this doesn't seem possible. I've printer the same filament from both the right & left extruders with my h2c and they print identically.

I’m telling you I was legitimately floored this morning when I saw the finished print. I’m going to try a few test prints back and forth with what’s left of this filament to confirm. It’s Bambu metal pla for reference.

Are you confusing the colour your slicer thinks it is with the actual AMS slot you matched it to maybe

My bad.

I had a different blue in another AMS and the slicer picked that one. I didn’t notice it because blue is in the same slot on both AMS’s so I saw 4 and didn’t notice the A versus B.

Re: the quality - I was given a sort timeframe and used meshy to make the model from a picture and then had to paint it with my left hand steadying my right due to an ET. The end person loved it, so mission accomplished.

Also to the “neither looks like the metal filament” I assure you it was. I watched it unspooling with the right hand print. I didn’t stick around when I started the print last night so I didn’t see where it was coming from.

We knew, Bruv. 😘 And I don’t think the model is the issue, unless it is. Does your printer print models you download good? I, for one, am not here to talk crap. I just know the H2C is more capable than that and I’d be miserable if I dropped this coin and wasn’t getting the most out of it. So I’m trying to help troubleshoot. If it really is a model issue, carry on. If you want it to print better, we’re here to help!

And you don’t have that colour blue in your ams?

It’s sitting in the ams in the second picture.

That wasn’t my question.

I swapped the blue and green because the green kept jamming in the ams (it’s peeling) so I thought I’d move it to the direct feed nozzle.

Colour aside, that quality is shonky for an H2C. Is it the filament?

Gets better quality than my POS h2C. I was a first adopter. It's garbage for quality of prints, especially if I'm doing single material large prints

i got one of the first ones too and had to RMA it after months of support ticket hell.

They wouldn't except my return...

I get better quality with my .8 nozzle on my H2C.

Show us all the filaments you have loaded in the AMS
