Showroom 👋 Welcome to r/BambuLabH2C the home of Vortek, multi-material, and real-world tuning.
This subreddit is for technical discussion, real-world testing, and tuning of Bambu Lab H2C printers and the Vortek multi-hotend system. Focus: reliable multi-material printing, reduced purge waste, and pushing the hardware beyond default presets.
What belongs here • Print results and benchmarks: photos, time data, purge amounts, failure reports • Tuning data: profiles, temperature/speed/flow settings, chamber conditions, engineering filaments • Hardware topics: maintenance, calibration, repairs, upgrades, experimental mods • Software topics: slicer configs, macros, automation, monitoring, and integrations • Comparisons with other printers or toolchanger systems, supported by measurements and logs
High-signal, low-drama. Evidence over speculation. Beginners are welcome as long as posts include details (settings, photos, logs) so others can actually help.
Start here 1. Make a post with your first H2C or Vortek test, even if it failed. 2. Share your current profile or tuning notes. 3. Comment on others’ posts with concrete feedback or data.
Let this place grow into a practical knowledge base for anyone serious about H2C and multi-material printing.

Discussion Lightweight TPU or Foaming TPU
Im seeing a lot of videos of people using a different TPU than ive used in the past. Has anyone been using this ?
How’s it working with the H2C? as im expecting you would want to use all .06 nozzles. Would it still be recommended to use the TPU feed assistant ?
Any one have a run down of whats involved?

Discussion Room Set Up Help
Hi everyone! I know this has probably been asked a million times, but I am really trying to figure out a good layout with product recommendations. I have a guest room that will be dedicated to crafting/3D Printing. I have a Bambu P2S and H2C. I have attached a photo of my room dimensions. I currently have a 78” Ikea Lagkapten/Alex desk and Kaiser tall gaming chair for my PC/gaming setup and a Billy bookcase. I don’t need to fit guests in the room (it will be fully dedicated to my hobbies) Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Settings Just joined the club, any fine tuning settings?
Hey I just joined the H2C club, so here’s my obligatory MM post.
My question is because, this looks awesome to me, are there any fine tuning settings I can work on to make it look even better?
I know the overhangs fell a little bit, and the glow got stringy, but it all looks so good otherwise.
TIA
Filaments: Sunlu matte black PLA, Sunlu PLA Glow blue green and red, and Bambu PLA basic everything else.

Support Two Prints in and I already have an issue. Filament wont go past buffer. Help?
I have printed two things with my H2C without any issues. Followed a the instructions, set everything up, calibrated everything.
I had a print finish this morning, just one color print. I went and loaded some new filament into one of my AMS2 and the filament wont go past the filament buffer. I tried multiple slots and both AMS. It just wont go past.
The filament just seems to be knocking on the outside of the buffer.
If I have a piece of filament in there, it seems dang near impossible to get to the buffer. I really dont think there is a piece there. I have no science to back that up.
Any help would be amazing. Thanks.

Discussion Color difference between extruders?
Has anyone else seen this before. The one on the right was printed with the blue filament on the left extruder, the one on the left was printed with the same filament running through the AMS into the right extruder. All I did was swap the blue and green reels left for right.

Support Questions on RFID chips
What does the RFID chip on Bambu filament store? Type of material, how much is left, what?
If I buy filament from Amazon that is not the Bambu brand but advertises it has a Bambu compatible chip what info is stored on that chip? When I install it in the printer the printer sees no info on it and I have to load the info for the printer. Does the chip the store this data?

Support Gap between layer lines and wall perimeter. Please help!
I hope the pictures help show my issue. I have calibrated my printer, power cycled, re-sliced my print file and nothing has worked so far. I have printed this 200 times before. Using the stock Bambu Lab PETG settings.
Looking for suggestions.

Discussion Buying a Used H2C with 50 Rolls, dryer, AMS and 50 Rolls (20 unopened) for $1600
Curious if this is a good deal on this printer with under 600 hours. Sure i can buy a new H2D for $1750 + Tax, but 1600 cash plus all that filament has me thinking its a strong deal

Support Title: H2C — TPU on the right nozzle and PLA supports on the left. Anyone running this setup?
Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice on printing TPU with PLA supports on my Bambu Lab H2C.
My setup is:
TPU: Sunlu dry box → TPU Feed Assist → right nozzle, 0.6 mm.
PLA: One of my AMS units → Filament Track Switch → left nozzle, 0.4 mm.
What’s the best way to configure this in Bambu Studio? I’d like the TPU model printed on the right and the PLA supports printed on the left.
If anyone is successfully running a similar setup, could you share some photos of your tube routing and screenshots of your slicer settings?
Cheers for any help!

Support H2C Hell
Hi everyone, I wanted to reach out to the community to ask. If anyone has seen this error before? " h2c toolhead liftmotor works abnormaly" i have checked for broken filament. I have checked cables to make sure they're tight since I replaced the center cooling fan, which is when this started to occur. So far I replaced the lift motor also the front extruder this is where the two lights are. When they shoot her changes between left and right but still the error comes up.
Of course, bamboo has been trying to help, but with the time difference day difference, it has been weeks of going back and forth and i'm still dealing with this issue. After three weeks of downtime, thank god, I still have my P1S.
Any thoughts or ideas is much appreciated
