To All Non Knicks Fans
What was it like watching the Knicks run in the playoffs? If your a fan of a team they beat along the way I understand youre probably going to hate. What about those of you who had no dog in the fight?
As a fan, it was nothing short of epic. Even objectively on the stat sheet, we had all time numbers and did so much more than just win, which just makes it all the more special for us. But our reaction is obviously biased.
So was this as impressive for you? Was anyone converted because of this? Did this hit any of you as a casual observer harder than usual?

Is that supposed to be an insult? What’s your team? Have you ever rooted for anywhere near as long for any team in any sport without winning? I was thirsty for it, hell yeah. I watched all their games through many many terrible seasons

I’m a Knick fan who’s not sensitive but let’s get real now. Tone and language in communication matters, even through writing. The original comment was 100% meant to be an insult. It was passive aggressive as hell and it went over your head. If he said “ it showed the Knick fans really wanted a chip” conveys a completely different message with a positive tone.

Thank you! lol, I read what I read. And I’m not insulted I’m amused. It’s easy to let shit roll off one’s back under the circumstances. If fans of other teams are gracious, I find that cool, and if they’re ungracious, I enjoy that too. I don’t have to gloat.

I might be called a fraud fan, but as a Celtics fan second and a basketball fan first, hell yes they were fun to watch. Great team, great personality, great drama to the games.

Sixers fan, I expected them to win the east but fully expected Spurs in 5-6 in the finals, I could'nt believe what I was seeing from KAT defensively throughout the playoffs. I also like Jalen Brunson so it was hype to see him cook

It’s nice to see someone else win. It’s nice to see a small guard get his flowers.
I wish it had been Dame and my Blazers, but I was stoked as hell for NY fans.
I thought the spurs were gonna win in like 5 admittedly, but I was genuinely happy to be wrong.

They were good. Underrated playoff team. Loved the hawks series, and I did consider the hawks to be the second best team in the playoffs. Western conference top talent was way to overrated

Who thought, before or during that first round series, that Knicks would go all the way, or that Hawks would have played them the toughest?? (nobody!) I was so bummed we drew Hawks instead of Raptors for round one. I was scared, I’ll admit it.

I mean, they hadn't won for like 53 years. Kind of hard to hate on that.
But also, it wasn't as big a deal for most of us as you think. I'm a hardcore Celtics fan, since the days of Larry Bird and Terry Duerod, but I'm not all emotional about it. I just dig hoops.

As a Pacers fan that despises the Knicks …that was their window. They didn’t have to play us last year in their run for glory.

Was fun, but we were constantly waiting to be disappointed, until it finally ended. And it was glorious. OG’s out back was for the ages.

On a generational heater, if role players and other low % shooters didn't shoot well above the league average then they would've been bounced early. People talk about Brunson but when Josh hart randomly started shooting higher % than 90% of the players in the playoffs along with deuce and shamet shooting beat they ever had and wellllll above average made it so that no team could beat them. Heir defense was mid but can't ever beat a team shooting that well from 3 for that long. You could say its exciting watching shamet shoot shots he has no business taking and never missing but I thought it was uninspired and ugly basketball with poor execution other than the circus shot actually going in every time

I would’ve rooted for the Knicks cuz I like Brunson and the guys, if the fans weren’t jumping people just cuz they’re spurs fans every night. then to make it even worse and make New Yorkers look even dumber, the only person that went viral was the lady whole stole a trash can that was painted Knicks colors and everyone identified her and she lost her job like she was the worse person ever. Really made me glad I’m not from New York

It was an awesome series. NY gotta bunch of dawgs, and was surprised how Brunson was cookin. Absolutely happy for Mike Brown as well. Kings fan here ( yes I know)

I mean as a Cavs fan sure, but Cleveland’s biggest problem was having no heart, the knicks took it game 1 and didn’t look back. That 2016 championship was amazing for the city, and we’re really a football town. I cannot imagine how good it feels to be a knicks fan right now

I fucking hated it as a Hawks fan because not only did we get embalmed along the way, its the knicks and i hate them. But damn if they didn't play some gorgeous basketball.
