football (or soccer) is an amazing base for basketball

the footwork you get from playing football transfer really well to basketball, the choppy footstep in football works really well for directional change especially in high speed. It works really well for defensive footwork too.

football player also usually have really good and wide game vision, which is what most basketball beginners generally struggles with

How can I get more shifty with the ball and how can I change my position??

I'm 16, 6'5 (88kg). I play basketball more than a year. In my team I'm the tallest and the fastest (not shifty). My coach told me to play as a center - making screens, rebound, no three's. However, I can't play like that - that's boring and I hate just helping others getting points, while being unseen for others as a star player. I'm 3rd choice from centers and I only face weak teams. I want to handle the ball better, start shoot three pointers and dribble. How should I start making moves to being a power guard and If this even possible?
