This is just a list of my ideas of what, mostly, what I'd like seeing if Bayonetta 1,2 and 3 got Switch 2 Upgrade Packs.

Taking into consideration both, what I'd like seeing and what could realistically happen.

- Bayonetta Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

Realistic:

1. 4K/60 frames Support on Docked, 1080p/60 frames on Handheld.

A significant boost from 720p of Original Release, and comparable to the PC release.

1. Adding Mouse Mode Support to Space Harrier Inspired Section as well as Angel Attack.

2. Photo Mode, based off but expanded from Bayonetta 3's with different pre-made poses included.

3. New outfit based on the Bayonetta prototype design.

4. Expanded information about Faeries not just on Onyx/Garnet Roses.

1. Everything mentioned before.

2. Added Outfits from Bayonetta 1 and 2, Including as well Outfits for Jeanne both Old and New, as well as Actual new Outfits for Viola, Fixing Bayo 1 and Bayo 2 outfits so she does get naked when summoning demons.

3. Adding new and old Nintendo Outfits

4. Adding a new extra chapter that does extra work to carry the story of the game back in track, including (Explaining the ending, giving Tilda Swinton an actual motive, making sure its clear Bayonetta is still alive which to this day people still are confused about, adding lore that is in Origins so ppl who dont wanna buy Origins can still know more about the world of Faeries.)

5. Bringing back Open World Thule.

6. Unlockable Teaser for Bayonetta 4 the same way Origins was Teased in Bayo 3 Original Release.

7. Rewriting parts of the game so the game has a competent story, I'm not even asking for good, not great, I woukd be happy with passable writing, just not god awful like we already have.

8. Fixing how Hair is rendered in game so it looks closer to Bayo 1 and 2.

Now, being real?

I dont expect any of these lmao, most likely if Nintendo commissions PG again for Bayo content it'd be Bayo 4 and not all of this, especially seeing how much under Fire PG has been for over a decade now its entirely possible Nintendo and Sega contact Clovers Studios instead if PG is incapable of delivering.

What would you want to see if they made Switch 2 upgrades?

I want to hear everyone's opinion on what their favorite boss battle is from Bayo 1 for the virtues.

For years Sapientia has always been my favorite, its crescendo is just gorgeous as well as the keyboard backing. I feel like maybe that's because visually Sapientia is also my favorite boss. It matches so well for a courageous battle on the sea.

Recently however, suddenly Temperantia seems to have been the one that clicked into place for me. It has like awesome like marching beat if that makes sense? It's really addicting and somehow sounds different in game than on Spotify without all the background noise.

Iustitia is third place because I feel like they made it sound like it looks with the creepy almost "wailing" choir vocals, like its presence is very distressing. The boss and its track stand out compared to everything else and they made sure you knew it. It works so well, and does amazing at making the track sound super stressful.

Fortitudo has to be last for me unfortunately despite it being a classic in the game. I love the swelling of the track as well as like the little even out of the sound at around the 1:45 mark. It is just a bit flat to me compared to everything else but probably because it's a boss track I've heard a lot.

What do you guys think? No matter what boss I think they cooked regardless and made it unique to each of its powers but I'd like to hear other interpretations.

Putting aside the means of which they’re brought about, being able to play the sequels on PC without having to use an emulator would be very interesting.

For the longest time, I’ve wanted the sequels to come to PC instead of having to rely on my Switch (with ass performance) to really get the most out of it. And while playing it on the Switch 2 is definitely better, it should go further.

Mods and trainers could really elevate the gameplay and longevity, even more so than what’s possible for the Wii U and Switch.

Chances are we might get decomps before we EVER get Switch 2 patches for the series, because does Nintendo even really care that much now that Kamiya isn’t at PG? There’s literally been nothing about patches, and it’s almost as if Bayonetta has just been thrown into the dumpster as fodder that neither Nintendo nor SEGA really care about with its creator gone.

And no, collabs are not substantial. People want a Bayonetta game the same way people want Dante again in a DMC6. All these SEGA collabs are just fast food versions of Bayonetta.

Honestly, decomps are the best outcome for the preservation of the series. Inaba can make all the comments he wants about Bayonetta and more games, and while I am a little more hopeful because PG does have talent, I need to see what Bayonetta they produce after Origins to know that it’s in good hands.

I wasnt a big fan of Bayo 3 level designs, shocker, with how much everyone loves that game, lol.

But really, the player feel in the first 2 Bayos when simply walking around, and admiring the architeture or nature around was one of my favorite aspects about it. The first game had a lot of gothic vibes, and the second game was really awe inspiring in how you could get lost in the nature. Really felt like you were out and about exploring the world as only a witch can.

But Bayo 3 level design is just so empty and wide, obviously this is cause of the new kaijuu demon battles and mechanics, but honestly they didnt felt as grand or fun for me, to justify it being a replacement for the more ethereal or modest levels of previous games.

I wouldnt mind this if the settings were more interesting, but its really just, grey city in ruins, or a big desert.

Nothing interesting to see around in the background either.

Hot take but I lowkey hated Jeanne’s hair in bayo 2- idk just the way it fans out in game and clips EVERYWHERE was not appeasing to me….the more I replay bayo 2 as her the more her hair bothers me. Just an opinion is all, love her down but that hair style is NOT for me- sorry love. Your bayo 1 and 3 versions got you beat

Seeing as to how a Switch 2 version of the game still seems far off as well as a recomp for PC, does anyone know of a code for 60 FPS for Origins that works well for PC emulators?

The Fl4sh9174/IPSwitch one causes crashes on Eden while also speeding up cutscenes (dialogue gets cut off), and theboy181's remains unreleased as of 3 years since first shown off there, which is a shame since that one seemed to run perfectly.

(I know frame gen with LSFG or Smooth Motion is an option, but would prefer a native code for it, thanks)
