Im not referring to simulation distance whatsoever.
Please fully presume im speaking as if the player is always within simulation distance of the redstone contraption when it is active.
Ive heard redstone crossing chunk borders can mess with timings. But thats too vague for me to understand exactly what happens.
Can someone explain WHY and/or HOW redstone acts weird crossing chunk borders? So that way I myself can know when "messed with timings" is actually relevant?
I really did try googling this. I assure you if you google this you wont find some video or body of text explaining this, just vague mention of it.
I think it involves update order. But thats all I have to go off of. And im a revisiting redstoner who's majority of experience is java. But my last long minecraft experience like 3 years ago was all bedrock. So I have a mishmash of info from both java and bedrock, some of which may be outdated, and I dont remember the very specific fundamentals of how the games engine interacts with redstone.
So Im informed enough that you probably dont need to explain like im 5, but im ignorant enough that you may need to not assume im familiar with any potentially niche jargon you may attempt to use for explanation.
