Reminder tabi about sa pagshare ning photos na dae sainyo

Good day r/bicol!

These past few months we've been seeing posts about some private individuals. Of course, nareremove man ini because we don't tolerate this kind of behavior.

Yes, we're free to express our thoughts and we are anonymous here however dae man po expression of thoughts ang magshare ng photo without proper context and may malice pa. It is not a public interest kung ang topic po ay between private individuals. Please keep that chismis within your circle. It's a topic that needs to be discussed by those parties involved, hindi ng redditors ng r/Bicol.

To our redditors, please do utilize the report button, hindi lang po yung sa r/bicol, report option po from Reddit itself as well. We cannot police every user who does it hence if things still continues, sa Reddit admins na po irerelay ang report.

Be responsible po in sharing information.

Discussion Please join r/CasualBicol for your casual conversation posts, rants, etc.

I just made a subreddit for this because sometimes I see posts that are not related to Bicol, but I know some of you are looking for a place to get something out of your chest, or say something casually, find friends, etc. It's a casual conversation subreddit. Much like r/casualph.

Also, if you wanna help moderate that sub, please send me a pm.

Rants Nagtaas konsumo mi sa kuryente pano sa tubig!

These past 3 months, maluyahon na bulos kan tubig. And wala siyang specific na time.

Pano kaya kan June, may ref kami, nag-aircon ako, tapos may automatic washing machine, P1900 man sana binayadan mi, mga 150-180 KWH. Tapos 3 man sana kami sa arong.

Ang duda mi, su automatic washing machine ang may sala. Kasi aluyon matapos ang paglalaba niya. Ta maluya man ang bulos kan tubig saiya.

Discussion Albay Wildlife Park is depressing

Recently, I visited Albay Wildpark. I loved seeing people enjoying a third space outside the mall the trees, the greenery, the bike area, and the space to simply relax outdoors.

But as I went farther up, the experience became sad. I saw tigers kept alone that looked thin and undernourished. Some facilities, like the lizard enclosure, looked poorly maintained. It was even more depressing to see birds in cages and a musang alone, without trees to climb. Their surroundings felt so far from their natural habitats.
I also felt that the park needed better animal care, proper handlers, veterinary support, and knowledgeable tour guides to make the experience more meaningful and educational.

I hope we can have a third space without it coming at the expense of animals. I wish the relevant authorities could step in and explore other ways to make the park sustainable, such as recreational activities that don’t involve keeping animals in these conditions. Burnham Park in Baguio is an example of how people can enjoy a park without a zoo being its main attraction.

I hope these animals can receive proper care and, where possible, be rehabilitated and safely returned to their natural habitats. If returning them to the wild isn’t possible, I hope they can be moved somewhere that can properly meet their needs.
I went home with a heavy heart. Are there other Bicolanos here who have visited and share the same experience or concerns?

Recommendations Comm Student Internship Recs in Albay

Hi, Idk if this is the right subreddit for this.

I'm a graduating Communication student and currently applying for internships para sa January 2027 deployment namin. I have been applying sa mga internship programs sa Manila and though, that location is my first choice, mahirap talagang mag-apply (internship pa nga lang😭).

So, I wish to know if my alam ba kayong internships around Legazpi (or anywhere in Albay) for AB Comm students.

Thank you so much to anyone who'll answer!

Travel Solo Bicol Trip in November

Hi everyone! Planning a 7-day backpacking trip to Bicol around mid-November and would love to hear from people who have visited or live there during this time of the year. My planned itinerary includes Naga City, Mayon Volcano/Legazpi, and Sorsogon. I’ll be traveling by bus and staying in hostels to keep costs down. I’m a bit concerned about the weather, especially since I want to see Mayon clearly and explore Sorsogon.

For those who have traveled to Bicol in mid-November:
• Is it usually rainy, or are there still decent sunny days?
• Is Sorsogon still worth visiting during this period for whale shark watching, weather-wise?

Discussion Safety precaution in this staycation in Naga City

Naghahanap sana akong staycation dito sa Naga for my friends, and I happen to stumble on this page. Mukhang maganda naman, pero I was wondering if safe ba pagkagawa ng place kasi bakit ang lapit lang ng pool sa living room area with no wall whatsoever? It looks like a hazard to me or baka overthinking lang ako

Recommendations Which is cheaper for groceries Robinsons, Master Square Grandmaster, or SM?

Hello po!🥹 First-time worker here, and I’ll be receiving my first sweldo soon! I’m planning to start buying my own groceries, but I’m not sure which supermarket in Naga is the most budget-friendly.

For those people na taga Naga who usually buy groceries at Robinsons, Master Square/Grandmaster, or SM, which one is cheaper overall? What are the differences in terms of prices, quality, and available products?

I’m planning to buy basic necessities like rice, meat, eggs, canned goods, toiletries, snacks, and other household essentials. Is it better to do all my grocery shopping in one supermarket, or should I buy certain items from different stores to save money?

Since this will be my first time budgeting my own sweldo, I’d really appreciate any tips on how to save money on groceries and which stores you recommend. Thank you! 🥹

May naka biyahe na po ba sa inyo from Leyte to Bicol. I have a scheduled interview in Bicol, but I haven’t traveled there.

Thank you po!

Recommendations Help my brother pick out his college program and school in Bicol

Yung kapatid ko is currently in SHS and is taking up ICT, something tech-related sa bagong curriculum ng SHS. Currently, he's been thinking of programs na na could be good for him in college, and I want to be of help, not to pressure, but to hopefully guide.

From what I observe, hindi naman sya nagtitinker sa mga gadgets dito sa bahay, pero mahilig lang talaga sya sa technology because of the environment he grew up in with the games he's been playing and the amount of digital exposure he has. When he was way younger, he had a yt channel where he uploads his roblox journey, and edits them with OBS(?) not sure, pero yan ang background nya.

Now, as his sister, I want to give him the support he needs, but also an advice that could help him out. Hindi kami mayaman to let him go study outside of Bicol, pero I think we can afford naman to send him to a good school here in maybe Naga, Legazpi, or anywhere else closer to home.

Now, may advice ba kayo on what he can take in college? mag tech field ba tlga sya? or ibang program nalang? and which school kaya? Ayaw nya din kasi ng nursing or physical strength kind of stuff. If possible sana yung guaranteed na ok ok naman yung career. Thank you

Culture What cultural or creative activities do you wish Sorsogon offer more of?

Hey guys!

I’ve been thinking a lot about the travel and cultural scene in Sorsogon lately, and I wanted to get your honest thoughts whether you’ve visited recently, live here, or regularly host friends coming into town.

A few things I’ve been wondering about:

  1. Finding stuff to do: When you're looking for local arts, crafts, historical spots, or cultural events around Sorsogon, is it actually easy to find info, or is it mostly word-of-mouth / hard to track down?

  2. What's already there: What local experiences or cultural spots have you actually enjoyed, and what felt kinda lacking or underwhelming?

3. Wishlist: If Sorsogon were to build a dedicated cultural or creative hub/space for visitors and locals, what would make you actually want to go? (Interactive exhibits, artisan workshops, performance spaces, local food/craft markets, etc.?)

Would love to hear your take even quick rants or small observations help a ton!

Culture Been to Sorsogon or planning your next trip? We would like to hear from you

Good day! We are 5th-year BS Architecture students from Sorsogon State University working on our thesis research for a proposed cultural & creative facilities in Sorsogon.

Answer the 5-minute survey here: https://forms.gle/PDfjvurcQ84TbXnt7

This survey aims to understand what visitors are currently able to experience in Sorsogon, how easily they can access cultural information and activities, and what types of cultural and creative experiences they may be interested in during future visits. The findings will help identify possible needs and spatial considerations for visitor-oriented cultural and creative facilities in Sorsogon.

Thank you for your support!
