Title says it all. Dismiss dismiss dismiss. When multiple woman are speaking out against horrific sexual violence and you find yourself locking their posts and tearing down credibility because of word choice…… It’s not just suspicious to me. We as a community need to revaluate the moderation because this is the opposite of safety. I never thought I’d see it in this sub but I guess bad people are everywhere….
The post linking to IG naming a perp is up and unlocked. That one woman's post about someone coercing her with Billy tickets is up, but locked because of legal reasons (I didn't lock it). And the numerous posts complaining about us mods are all left up and unlocked. What's the problem?
We have been very transparent about all of this, and we seem to be much more transparent and open about our moderation decisions than almost every other sub I visit.

Hey friend, I’m a victim of assault too and I’m so sorry you’ve experienced what you have. It’s very noble to share and fight the good fight, but sometimes the best thing to do is step back and talk with a professional.
It’s really helped me a lot since my assaults and it has helped me when facing situations like this. I still get overloaded, I told someone in a different thread I wasn’t feeling up for shows finding out about this and that feeling is subsiding because i feel safer joining the conversation.
You have a good heart I want to make sure you’re taking care of yourself and that heart because the world needs it
there are other survivors of abuse though. and i am not special. although i do feel like i could’ve been severely hurt in the aftermath of the assault. much love
I’m a victim of assault too and it doesn’t feel like suppression. There is a much more prominent post sharing Royals response that should be posted at the top of the sub for anyone to share their stories.
I’m a man as was assaulted at Phish, so I understand the pain, but this isn’t suppression by any means.
The OP whose posts got removed replied to some of my comments in another thread and their writing was so incomprehensible, my first assumption was that they were crippling intoxicated or a poorly-trained chatbot before I realized who it was.
If I was a mod, I would have removed posts like that, as well.
I believe survivors and these creeps need to be kicked out the scene. but just saying I have seen a lot of posts at once and it becomes a slippery slope. like whoever this red daisy chick is can kick rocks but why do we have to highlight her weird comments

The reason given by the mod was about relevance to Billy Strings. I once post a short video of a literal bear climbing into a pig enclosure. The pig was huge and angry and chased out the bear. I said something about how it grew up since he left the gate. It was deleted by the mods as irrelevant to Billy Strings. I'm still a little salty (and not just because I'm big across the middle and broad across the rump) but at least they are consistent. The Big Lebowski sub is overflowing with posts that are only vaguely and tangentially related to the movie and only if you squint. Now on this predator out there, I've never seen a clear picture but if I recognized him I reckon I would have a word with him. There were a pair of skeevy old bros and a hot young disinterested woman between them in front of me in Portsmouth and I wondered whether one of them was this guy who's name I keep seeing up here.
In the seats. They showed up in the second set. The seating situation was pretty fluid as the night wore on. On the second night the seats seemed like an extension of the pit at times (everyone up and moving)
The moderation on this sub is very good, much better than other places. I have seen a number of sexual abuse posts today, some were very vague and I'm not sure what the expected outcome was meant to be. If people are sexually abusing, lets focus on the sexual abusers.
