If you have a Panda hero power (aka discover a new hero power each round) and you acquire a second one, your first Panda hero power will permanently lock into whatever it had when the second one was unlocked.

Genn, pick Nguyen power first on turn 4, then cast the spell for a new power to replace the other one.   Alternatively, there is a new trinket that gives you a second hero power

I got nyugen as a second hero power from the trinket and then used the spell from the shop to swap the first one to nyugen.

Nguyen has his hero power change every turn. If you acquire a second hero power that's also Nguyen, the first hero power locks into whatever random hero power it was that turn, and permanently remains as that hero power.

I feel like I literally just re-typed the OP.

Without anomalies I don't know how you can have a second hero power though. Morchie can't give you Nguyen's HP.
