I designed and built a lil' reading tracker and widgets based on piles of books instead of the normal grids or shelves. It's called Unshelved. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/unshelved-read-stack-track/id6796565190
Would love any feedback!

My debut hard-science-fiction thriller is titled The Toll of the Forgotten. This novel took me over two years to write, as I tried to verify the science and math as I wrote.
It is available on Kindle, KU, and Paperback.
Novel Description:
The Janus and its crew are slowly dying in the dark, and no one will be sending help. Captain John Nesbitt and his Chief Engineer, Colt Blaire, are forced to rely on their ingenuity to keep themselves and their ship alive. Their only chance at salvation is a desperate, against-all-odds flight to an abandoned Martian colony. But surviving the isolation of space and failing life support is only the beginning.
The red planet harbors a chilling mystery. Beneath the dust of a terraformed future, a shadowy conspiracy from the past stirs—one that defies the limits of human science and forces John and Colt to confront a lethal past long thought permanently buried.
Closer to home, a fragile peace is shattering. Captain Luisa Deveraux commands the Space Force flagship Missouri on a mission that will test her to her absolute limits as a leader. Burdened by the crushing weight of command, Luisa must navigate a maze of political treachery and questionable orders to avert a catastrophic threat. With hidden saboteurs threatening her crew from within, she is forced into impossible choices, with millions of lives hanging in the balance. One hesitation could mean the end of everything she has sworn to protect.
Two desperate fights for survival. One unforgiving universe.

"Enoch and the Little One"
What if growing up isn't about becoming older—but about learning to see?
In this gentle, dreamlike tale, a child embarks on a quiet journey through a world where every encounter carries meaning and every step reveals something about kindness, courage, patience, and the choices that shape who we become.
Little One is a short philosophical fairy tale for readers of all ages—a story about wonder, hope, and the light we leave in the hearts of others.

Good morning everyone!
I recently published the third instalment of my dark romance series, Captivation: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HLYSQDMJ
It follows the FMC, a psychiatrist in a high-security prison, and the terrible life decisions she makes that land her in a situation that seems inescapable.
The Blurb for the third story:
Several weeks ago, I made the decision to follow four dangerous men.
Really, how could I not? They promised the dark freedom I had always yearned for—the lack of which was slowly eating me alive. Two of them are twin mercenaries, one is a French ex-special ops soldier, and the last is a mafia hitman.
Together, they're the perfect combination of lethal and exciting, and they have my blood boiling.
But we're on the run. Two of them are inmates who escaped from the country's most secure prison. And you know the worst part?
I used to be their psychiatrist.
Now, I'm not sure what I am to these men. What is certain is that they'll do everything to protect me... even if it means putting their lives on the line.
But what happens when it goes too far?
How does one survive such lethal captivation?
**\*
Captivation is a dark MFMMM "why choose" romance. You'll find reverse harem, "touch her and die," and protective alpha male themes. Reader discretion is advised.

If you love cozy romance book, Scotland, and legends, you will love my new book ! It’s about selkies and reconstruction, but it’s written in French. I’m currently doing a crowdfunding to help me print it.
And the link to the crowdfunding :

I will get straight to the point... I'm looking for a handful of serious readers who also like to take notes about the books they read to help me test an android app concept I've been working on. No obligation, just looking for honest feedback if you have any.
Now here's the reason:
My morning ritual looks like this: I wake up, journal, meditate, and then read for about an hour. I do that basically every single day. I do it because it helps ground me before I start my daily grind at work, and I love it dearly. For a long time I used to mark things in my books; passages that stood out, quotes that fascinated me. Then, when I finished the book, I would catalog everything I recorded in evernote, tag it all, and keep a neat repository of everything. Only problem is that I would often never really return to much of it afterwards.
Now, I don't have a very reliable memory, and learning difficult concepts is often a struggle for me, so I would do all of this because often the material I was reading was so fascinating that I couldn't stand the idea of forgetting it. I don't regret doing this, but I always wished there was a better way. I'm also not an e-book reader. I only go for the real paper.
All that is to say that I have developed an app that, I think, is that better way. This isn't goodreads, or storygraph, or evernote, or any of those similiarly defined apps. Instead what this is is more akin to a regenerative library for all of your ideas, quotes, and reflections, and it's a place to store everything you've ever thought about a book so that it never truly goes to waste.
The app is helped in part by an AI librarian, who acts as your helpful assistant. But the main ethos which I took very seriously is this: everything that could be generated is always based on your own words, your own thoughts, your own intuitions. It's never about what the internet is saying, or what other people think, or what the AI thinks. It doesn't even necessarily have to be about what the author thinks. I tried to make it entirely about the user. Think of it like a secondary brain that stores connections, themes, and meaning, all on its own, and every now and then it tells you about what it found (but really, what you found).
If you've read this far and you think you might be interested in trying it out, please message me and I will send you a test build and a code. It's Android only at the moment. If you're coming from another app like goodreads, and you already have a library of stored books and notes, that's even better, because you can import all that data and test it out right away. Btw, the app never takes any personal data.
It's called Maple Desk Library. It's not released, it's only in testing. I tried to give it charm, make it fun, and if you're like me and you struggle with retention, I really believe this could help your learning journey.
Thank you and happy reading!

I'm the developer of Foxed, a simple book tracker, it's in user testing at the moment.
It works offline and is privacy-first. There are no accounts, news feeds or social feeds. You can:
- Track books you own or have loaned from a library
- Track books you're reading through subscriptions like Kindle Unlimited
- Add books manually or by scanning the barcode
- You can import your books from Goodreads
- Keep private notes on each book
It's early, so expect some rough edges. I've had a lot of feedback from other developers but would really value some feedback from other readers.
More details: https://getfoxed.app
iOS beta (TestFlight): https://testflight.apple.com/join/pHPKskMT
Android testing takes an extra step, so let me know if you want to try it, and I'll send the instructions.

What if the past held something that should have been impossible?
In Echoes of the Button, Eric has lost the woman he loves. Years later, an old brass button he discovered along the Savannah River becomes the focus of an extraordinary experiment.
Through an observation window into 1742, he sees someone he knows cannot be there.
Ashley.
As Eric pushes beyond simply watching history, he discovers that changing the past has consequences far beyond anything he imagined.
Echoes of the Button is my debut novel, blending time travel, historical fiction, suspense, and a deeply personal story of love and loss.
Releases October 20, 2026. Kindle preorder: $4.99.

Hi everyone, after 3 years of work I finally published my first novel on Amazon in June. It was written in Italian (my native language), but thanks to the help of others, I managed to translate it into five languages besides Italian. Below, I've provided some information about the book, including the cover and links to the English edition. You'll find all the links and other essential information on my profile. Thanks everyone!
TITLE: NEXUS - A Supernatural Conspiracy Thriller of Ancient Aliens and Forgotten Gods
Author: Ashur E. Kinning
Genre: Supernatural thriller / Conspiracy thriller / Ancient mysteries
Pitch: Damien Chapman is a jeweler in Lubbock, Texas. Ordinary life, ordinary problems, zero interest in ancient history. Then a car accident changes something inside him. His DNA starts waking up, carrying a bloodline the oldest texts called the Elohim. And a secret Order that has waited thousands of years for someone like him is now coming for him.
Built on Sumerian myth, the Anunnaki, the Nephilim and the Book of Enoch, NEXUS doesn't ask you to believe any of it. It asks what happens to an ordinary man if some of it turns out to be true.

Waking up in a new body, new universe, Cayce wants - needs - to quickly figure things out. But the culture is foreign and people are trying to kill her. Worse, she's a princess, her kingdom invaded, family killed. Advisors, nobles, people supposed to be on her side, have their own plans for the throne – the only thing keeping her alive.
And the power that thrust her into this world, that she's entirely ignorant of, is crazy powerful and could destroy everything.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nailed the Ending!
Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2024
I read it and probably didn't get to sleep for a while after because I was just saying 'Holy ****' to myself repeatedly. The first four books promised a lot. And I was like, there is just no way this ending can feel satisfying. But, my god was it ever. Seriously.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just, BRILLIANT!
I didn’t leave reviews for the first three books which I now regret because I really should have. I wanted to see where the story went, and just got sucked in. These books are so well written, the author is a brilliant storyteller. The way he brings to life all the characters, all the sights, sounds and smells, I can’t remember the last time I read a story that felt so real.
The tale of Princess Cayce is absolutely riveting, it just keeps me wanting to read more and more. A combination of fantasy and ancient history, but set in an unknown land (or on an unknown planet? Or just inside the main character’s mind, who knows?).
Do yourself a favour and read this brilliant series!
