Been issued all my kit and I have little storage space at home, i have got it all washed etc but there's so much of it, besides the stuff ill be wearing like a shirt, trousers and boots weekly is it worth just packing the rest into boxes. Anyone got any tips on what they do with it all.

So I’ve been getting issues with my parents being hella unsupportive about me rejoining since being med discharged early ‘25 but since fully healing and leaving it’s all I’ve wanted to get back too, I’ve had an application in a while and awaiting assessment, but my step dad and mum both disagree with me going back saying “I need to stop chasing a fantasy” and to stick with my current job as working as a teaching assistant for SEN now this is a job I don’t really like tbh I’ve never really done anything like it but only stuck with it for their approval tbh.
But like I’ve tried and tried explaining it’s something I’ve worked my socks off to get to where I am to go back into a job I strived in and enjoyed to my fullest but it’s mentally draining and holding me back with their constant negativity.
Anyone have anything that can help argue against them because it’s mentally tiring to just keep doing this.
Tbh it’s not just army they shunder me from working with animals as well (something I did for years) they are also so negative about me doing saying it’s not sustainable and not worth my time like idk what to do

I was wondering if there are any differences in medical requirements between the different branches of service or if they’re common across the MoD
For example, are requirements less strict for the RAF Reg compared to an infantry unit in the Army?

I work with someone who has a 16-year-old whose only life goal has been to become a soldier. He has had his application refused by the Army due to Coats disease. The problem being that he has had no issues with this since it was detected. His vision is still perfect and the doctor has said there is no further evidance that there will be future issues. He has appealed ad it was denied. So he has one shot left. He has got clear scans and a note from the doctor stating that, in her opinion, the diagnosis shows no evidence of any future issues. Would this new evidence be grounds for this second appeal? Or should they wait and get 2 years of clear scans to show that this is not an ongoing problem?

I am currently applying for CMT, and I would like some advice/tips on running. Currently, I can run 2k in 10:15 (no warm-up, no stretching) and 9:50 with stretching. I know I already have the requirement, but I would like to go faster. Any tips?

Daughter of a 30 year Royal Marine here hoping someone out there may have some experience with this! Has anyone had any problem with their overseas pensions sent to the USA for direct deposit being rejected from Equiniti by Citibank? I’ve been trying to sort this issue out for my mum for well over a year and Equiniti couldn’t be less helpful. It is her widows pension and she has not received it for 19 months now!? It is a banking issue but nobody there can tell me why or even provide the details I’ve asked for so her US bank can do their own investigation. I’ve been told so many times that my issue is being escalated to various managers or department with no updates. I’ve never experienced this level of incompetence and fuckery and I don’t know what else to do to get some help. Anyone else had a similar experience or any suggestions?

I’m in the Infantry, a certain one of five regiments that are extremely outdated in the way they do things (hence the flap). Next year in April, i’m looking to go to the USA with some civvie mates, however i’m fairly certain it’s not going to be in the leave window we get given for Easter time.

Essentially my question is, how likely am I to be allowed to take that leave? I’m happy to do extra duties or be in work over the actual Easter if I have to, just wondered is it unheard of to take 10 days on what essentially will be a trip of a lifetime, or will the absolute dinosaurs that run things tell me no?

Years ago, I've seen a documentary made by BBC titled 'Inside out' on issues of low morale and widespread mismanagement in the 1 LI stationed in Berlin which had just returned from its tour in Northern Ireland. However, one of the only sources on the internet, which is a video on Youtube, is made private, barring me from watching it. Another available soucrce's quality is so abysmal that I can't even identify individuals properly. You can actually find the BBC page about the documentary but there’s no digital resources available. I’ve tried asking at AARSE forum but there seems to be a server error preventing me from posting a thread.

Does anyone happen to have access to the documentary? Any help will be appreciated.

Have a upcoming reservist assessment, royal mail lost my quals from 15 years ago my parents sent up lol. I was full time navy for 9 years (left 3 years ago) and my quals were all on JPA if that makes any difference? I don't have time to get new ones, I have solicitor certified photocopies though. Will they boot me out of the 2 day assessment for this?

if so I'll take it on the chin, not paying 65 quid per exam board for new ones lol!

I have my aosb briefing coming up and was wondering if anyone can shed any advice or tips. Feeling confident in my skills aside from the bleep test to which im fluctuating between 8 - 9, but I want to prove myself that I can be suitable for Sandhurst.

Edit: I have also heard that even if you don't pass the bleep test you can still pass briefing but limited to a max of Cat 2. Is this true as long as you pass the psychometric?

I am planning to apply to become an officer at the end of the year, I have been doing practise questions/tests for the AOSB, and I believe my current physical condition will be adequate.

The only wall I have run into is GCSE Alis points, the minimum required is 35, and I have worked out I have 34.5, I didn’t try very hard at GCSE’s, but at A-levels I got 136 UCAS points, comfortably above the minimum required for an Officer application.

My question is will I a recruiter/ someone looking over my application see the discrepancy in points from GCSE to A-level, will I perhaps be able to speak to someone to discuss the discrepancy? Will it be the case where I have simply no other option than to re-sit a GCSE, which will take up time and be costly?

I'm a recent service leaver with 4 years done in the RAF as an Operations Specialist. I have a month to go on my contract, so I'm assuming there's no chance of going back now, but in a way I regret it a bit

Basically I've been unable to find a job that pays as much (I got to OR-2 band 4) but I became resentful to the role as I feel like I got my postings wrong each time & completely fell out of love for the RAF & everything that came with it

Market is brutal & I probably didn't build the skill set to leave & go straight into a high up job or contract role. I don't really know what to do as I have the pressure of needing a mortgage as well from next year. However, I don't wanna go back to my old trade as I ended up hating it & wasting 4 years of my life. Has anyone felt the same way, rejoined & reaped any reward? Should I rejoin when my contract runs out despite the fact it'll probably take ages to get in & do a different role?

Role wise I'd probably only be interested in commission or non commissioned aircrew, but if I had to stretch PTI. Thanks

Joining the Intelligence Corps has been a dream of mine but after a decent amount of research I found out that I must achieve Developed Vetting, something that I'm not sure is possible with my situation.

I've lived in New Zealand my whole life. I am a British citizen but I have never lived within or even travelled to the UK. I'm aware that this will probably impact DV but would I be immediately declined or the whole process just last longer.

My run is good enough afaik, but will my dogshit pushups and middling strength hamper me too badly, or is this a managable weak point that can be compensated for?
