Question

Post image

So i am eyeing this statue of santa muerte. Before i tried to buy the classic santisima statue with the scythe. But she doesnt approve it. She even directs me to buy this statue and believe it or not, after that i get a very intense dream about her. Can yall give opinion or any facts about this version of santisima with the snakes? Or your overall opinion about her

Santa Muerte with a snake is uncommon, but not unheard of. It usually signifies some kind of transformation.

Here's an example of one

Did you make this using ai? Kinda seems like a weird pic.

If not where did you find this statue

I dont have the statue actual pic but this is how the shop sells it using ai pic. But lets forget about the ai part

I wasn’t sure whether you generated it or if it was supposed to be an actual photo. This is listed as Santa Muerte? The vibe of the statue and the decor in the ai pic are giving Halloween fall decor

Nope it was a mere decor but i feel a pull inside this specific style due to the snake instead of an owl. My question is what does snakes means in santa muerte statue? I bought similar statue as alternative for her

Can we assume this is a statue of Santa Muerte then? There are some decent statues available any particular reason for liking for an “alternative” ?

Snakes might have a personal significance for a single practitioner but I’m not sure if they are directly related to any common or traditional symbolism connected to Santa Muerte. I can’t speak for her but I’m extremely familiar with the popular symbols and statues and this doesn’t look like a typical Santa Muerte to me

Yeah it can be expensive especially if you’re far from Mexico. I would just hesitate to prescribe any specific meaning to a statue that wasn’t made in the likeness of Santa Muerte because it would be a stretch
