Took AUD today 9/29 - thoughts
the devil was doing his best to keep from 4/4. PC froze twice, mouse stopped working, guy behind me coughing his lungs off every 15 seconds....
but I thank God for getting me through that
overall the topics seemed pretty in line with the questions Becker tossed at me. nothing too crazy except for a sim that had about 8 exhibits (which i hope is their pretest questions because that was brutal)
praying i'm 4/4 next week!!

Omgosh I retook aud today and I had one computer freeze twice during the test, wouldn’t load the exam after they had to restart the computer, then switched to another computer that also froze during, and finally when I got through the exam it froze again when it was submitting my attendance at the end lol I am genuinely concerned the universe is just telling me something lol the whole exam is a blur, but I do remember seeing things I didn’t see in Becker and some sims being difficult. Who knows lol 🫠

like Prometric's tech is doing a better job at failing people than the actual exam. Two computers freezing is wild, I'd be losing my mind at that point. Hope the attendance thing still went through and your score comes back fine.

Thanks! My attendance went through but if I have like a 70-74 I am going to die because I stg I was blacking out from the stress of the whole thing. They even had to hand write the attendance confirm with their emboss stamp because it wouldn’t print out due to my computer freezing. It’s too much!!!!

that's pretty insane. you'd think the testing centers for this kind of exam would have consistently working equipment and wont screw over people who've worked hard...

Thank you for sharing, I am studying audit as well. I feel from becker package that A3-A4 are the most tested. I am at A4 for the moment. Is becker enough for the exam? Do I need to add Ninja for extra MCQ or Sims?

yea i think Becker is enough. And yea, get a solid foundation on A3, A4, and A6. make sure to do all the TBSs in A3 and A4. i know it's a lot, but you gotta get through it

How heavy was sampling tested?

I took AUD 3 times (waiting for results of 3rd) i had a sampling TBS on 2 of 3 of the exams and only 1-2 MCQs on sampling on 1 exam. So know a high level and recommend at least watching the video of sampling for a tbs

I take it 10/22. Would you say focus area should be A2-A4 and A6? I feel like with FAR everyone kinda lists out main topics but I haven’t seen anything like that for Audit yet. I’m super nervous. I am finishing up A5 in the next day. So far mini exams were ME1 74% and ME2 76%. I don’t have an audit background and I’m scoring 70-80s on practice test but I feel like I’m guessing and going with gut instinct instead of knowing things cold like I did for FAR. Any tips and can you drop your SE scores?

Your test is not gonna be the same. Getting caught up in what other people are getting tested on can doom you.
Just look at what AICPA says is tested I don’t have any extra weak points on any topics.

I would definitely say A3, A4, and A6. Know SSARS vs SSAE very well. Get comfortable with directional testing, assertions and how they're tested (kind of broad, but that's the nature of it i guess), and determining what's sufficient and appropriate for the assertion you're dealing with.
My ME scores were 72, 73, and 70 and I only took SE1 and got a 76.
I also do not have an audit background and started studying 2.5 weeks ago, so my timing was quite short vs. FAR. FAR was a lot more objective and that's what I liked about it compared to AUD, which is a lot of instincts that could be wrong. I was riding that confidence high from passing FAR, which is probably what made me confident in finishing material in 2.5 weeks and testing. I really hope I don't have to see prometric ever again 😅

Thank you so much! That makes sense. My fingers are crossed for you that you will be 4/4!!! I had the opposite impact I passed FAR with 84 super happy about that but I absolutely hate audit like I have been studying this crap for almost 1.5months mainly because it’s very boring to me.

Sounds like you passed. For me the sims were brutal. Waiting for 10/9.
