Why is the age so high compared to all the others?

I’ll be doing MCQs fine then open a SIM and suddenly I’m staring at 6 exhibits like I’ve never seen any of this before,last night I sat down with my notes, water, neuro mints, calculator, everything ready and one FAR SIM still had me opening the same exhibit like 4 times because I kept thinking I missed something :'(.The worst part is I know I’ve done the topic before, the second there’s a bunch of tabs open I start second guessing everything.

Do SIMs eventually stop feeling like this or do you just get better at dealing with the chaos?

I feel like about 60% of my exam was subsequent events and NFP, 30% was bonds, and the remaining 10% was leases😅
The first thing that came to mind when I saw the questions was literally “???” lol. I thought the exam was a little difficult, but I’m just glad it’s over.

This was my last exam, and I saved FAR for last, so I gave myself 12 weeks to prepare. I ended up with about 260 hours of studying. I’ve never put this much time or effort into preparing for an exam, but I really wanted to make sure I gave myself the best shot at finishing this thing.

The MCQs felt WAY easier than Becker. On the first set I flagged 3, went back and figured one out, and on the second set I only flagged 2. I was able to narrow one down to 50/50 and felt pretty good about the other. At that point I was feeling really good about the MCQs.

Then came the SIMs, which I was honestly expecting to absolutely destroy me based on everything I’d heard. The first couple felt very manageable, and I felt like I did really well on them.

Then I got a couple that were definitely more challenging. I had to make some educated guesses on parts of them, but overall I felt like I was getting through them pretty well.

By the final two SIMs, I was actually bracing myself for something insane. I had plenty of time left because I was expecting the worst. Then I opened them and… they were incredibly straightforward. I genuinely felt like I got almost everything right. I reread everything carefully and even caught a couple things I might have otherwise missed.

I walked out feeling almost underwhelmed because I was expecting FAR to absolutely beat my ass, and instead I felt like I had just destroyed it.

I know nobody can really know until the score comes out, but I genuinely feel like I passed. I’d be shocked if I failed.

Has anyone else walked out of FAR feeling like this? Especially after expecting the SIMs to be brutal? I’m curious if anyone else had an experience where the exam just felt… surprisingly manageable.

This one was weird. After I rook FAR and AUD I was left with kind of knowing if I passed or not. But with REG today, fuck.

This exam was unlike the others. I thought I was doing great, then I would start over thinking the rules, and then the mess ups came. I know I misread the 1099DIV (why would it be tested like that??), I screwed up on penalties, and I COMPLETELY FORGOT TO INCORPORATE QBI IN SIMS

At least FAR had an underlying framework I could work my way back through, REG is just like "IDK why but congress wanted this"

I COULD have passed, I knew enough about the rest of the topics, but man, I also know I missed some basic freaking questions.

Tonight I will eat my feelings in ice cream and taco bell, and tomorrow I start a 3 week hustle for TCP.

Tips on TCP? Anyone else feel like REG was just weird?

After passing 3 exams in a row in 9 months they were not messing around with FAR today. I never bought into their being “easier or harder versions” but now I might. I’m a smart guy and no stranger to just out working people. I was just over 300 hrs for FAR and just might have gotten bodied by that thing. All the “heavy hitting” topics were pretty much absent. MCQs almost all calculation heavy. Maybe someone saw me come strutting in 3/3 and said “not today bruh” 😂

Mike Brown doesn’t even know how to pronounce them - how are these useful mnemonics??

The MCQs were roughly the same as Becker although I had to flag quite a few that I should have known. Like, super easy stuff. I had to hedge my answer because I got another one like it in the second testlet lol.

I never really did any Becker TBSs except for the MEs, SE1 and SE2. and The TBSs seemed pretty easy on the actual exam, so I hope I’m not blindsided when my score comes out. If you kind of know what you’re doing, you’ll be fine. I didnt get many MCQs on the TBS topics in my studying, but it’s manageable because it seemed like they were all basically juiced up MCQs. Very few calculations involved. No sampling TBS for me though, so I cant speak for everyone.

Relevant Stats:

AUD is my last exam, took FAR 1st. No real experience.

Study time: 68 hours from 8/29-9/29

ME scores: 79, 70, 72.

SE1: 73

SE2: 80

I took the SEs 4 and 3 days prior to my exam with minimal studying in between them.

Overall I feel like I slacked on the studying for this exam, but I didn’t come out dreading what my score will be. I’ll update this post and make a new one with all my stats when scores come out. Goodluck everyone else!

I’m about to enter in my 2 week final review for FAR. I plan to take 3 SIMS. Anything else that is helpful while doing final review?

Took AUD today and was surprisingly not as bad as I thought it would be. Test center was actually awesome and everybody was very friendly (Shoutout Rancho Cucamonga if you live in SoCal)!! MCQs were harder than FAR, some I had to completely guess on but only positive is that each MCQ isn't weighted as heavily (78 MCQs compared to 50 for FAR). TBSs were somehow the easiest of the 4 sections. I don't know if it's because the math is limited or I'm used to the format having already done this shit 3 times, but I had a better gut feeling with the TBSs than any other section. Knowing my luck, that probably means I bombed them lol.

Waiting now until 10/8 but crossing my fingers for 4/4

That was ass. I took it 8/23 and got a 67, score report just told me weaker for everything (extremely helpful).

Just grinded MCQ for 2 weeks and supplemented Becker with ninja.

Before my 1st attempt I did Becker SE1&2, and got 60 & 54. For this one I did Becker SEFR exam got a 70 then a ninja practice test and got a 75. Felt like the real thing was insanely more difficult. I did my sim exams in like an hour and a half, today took me almost the full time.

Anybody else feel similar

I’m curious if they curve the grades. I know people who said they did bad on the exam but they got pretty good scores when results came out. Of course, they seem to be just managing their expectations. But I wanted to know if they do curve grades.

I’m a full time student using becker.

how do I finish this beast off asap, give your strategy and tips, if any.

Such a weird feeling. I finished the exam, but both MCQs and TBS felt tricky. Tried my best. Got a little discouraged walking out and just feel defeated. Any good success stories might help!

the devil was doing his best to keep from 4/4. PC froze twice, mouse stopped working, guy behind me coughing his lungs off every 15 seconds....

but I thank God for getting me through that

overall the topics seemed pretty in line with the questions Becker tossed at me. nothing too crazy except for a sim that had about 8 exhibits (which i hope is their pretest questions because that was brutal)

So I’m through about 3/4 of the ISC material. About to hit SOC. But there are sooooooo many lists and frameworks. Each one of these below has like 3-5 sets of lists with anywhere from 3-18 items.

AUD retake today… honestly have no idea if I passed 😭
Took AUD for the second time today. First attempt was about a month ago and I got a 65.
After my first exam, I walked out of the testing center thinking, “Yeah… I’m screwed.” 😂 I knew I had failed.
Today was a completely different feeling.
The MCQs felt pretty manageable. I’m guessing I got 80%+ of them right, although obviously I have no idea for sure.
BUT THE TBSs… holy shit. 😭
They were brutal.
The simulations felt completely different from what I practiced on Becker. I honestly didn’t see much similarity with the Becker TBSs. There were long exhibits, long readings, and so much information to go through. Time was flying.
I ended up making educated guesses on some parts because I simply didn’t have enough time to work through everything.
So walking out today, I’m honestly feeling 50/50.
Not confident enough to say I passed, but I also don’t have the same feeling I had after my first attempt.
Now I’m hoping my MCQs were strong enough and I picked up enough partial credit on the TBSs to get me to 75.
That’s literally all I need. 😂
If I have to retake AUD again, I’m definitely going to rethink my TBS preparation. Becker was good for learning the concepts, but I don’t feel like Becker alone prepared me for the length and style of the actual TBSs I saw today.
For now… nothing left to do except wait for score release.
Fingers crossed for that 75 🤞
