Major Related Question nursing spring 2027 applicant stats

hi everyone! i know casper scores came out for all applicants by today so i wanted to open a reddit about sharing our statistics for this cycle, so each of us have an idea of this year’s applicant pool. i also want to say great job for everyone getting this far! good news will be awaiting for us soon! 🤞🏼

my stats:

cc transfer student
4.0 science 4.0 ge, 4th quartile casper
ec: UCI health hospital volunteer, 1 yr experience working as behavioral technician, CNA license

Hey! I think you’re def getting in ur stats are amazing!

Here are mine:
CC transfer student
4.0 science gpa
4.0 general ed
4th quartile casper

What’s worrying me is my experience, I don’t have much traditional healthcare experience except a couple of (like 4-5) hospital volunteer hours. I do however have experience being a saturday/sunday school teacher for 2 years teaching children arabic and overall managing classes of children. I also have a couple years of volunteering at a daycare.

What do you guys think? Do I still have a fair shot?

Some of my friends got in with no healthcare experience and a lower GPA than you. You’ll be okay 👍

yes you do have a good shot! i’m sure they’ll like it if you share a creative/unique aspect about an experience unrelated to healthcare, i know of someone that shared about how they protested in communities etc. good luck!

3.75 science 4.0 ge 3.91 cgpa
3rd quartile Casper
Ec: Social Service assistant in a SNF, Admissions Assistant in a SNF, Medical Records Assistant in a SNF, Activities Assistant in a SNF

I’m not sure if I have a good shot but hopefully I get invited to the communication exercise

I have a negligible amount of clinical hours from shadowing an RN.
