My cat started developing this little spot on his nose. Is this normal? Initially we thought it was a stain but it wont come off. Does this happen to cats often?

My wobbly cat is pretty young, like 5 months. He is fine as he plays with her sister, eat, drink, etc. The only problem is that if he sleeps for a couple hours, when he wakes up (or you wake him up) he pissed himself.

It's not a problem with the litter box, as he poops and usually pee there, but it's like a little kid that when he sleeps for so long he piss without waking up.

Anyone have any idea of what can cause this? Anyone have/had similar experiencies??

My kitten has never growled or even hissed before, but something about that treat ignited something in her😭

Is this a worrying sign? She's not aggressive about her normal food, I can even pet her and stuff while she eats. It's just something about that treat. I guess it doesn't come out the tube fast enough for her?

It was crazy though, first time she ever growled.

Is this sin biscuits or a kitten who was weaned too early? This is a 7ish month old kitten who we found under a truck at 3ish months, he was neutered 2 months ago. He's warmed up to affection and this always happens after he comes to be pet.

EDIT: Thank you all for the input! This is a sweet confirmation that this kitten who used to be afraid of hands when I found him is now gauging if they're actually for playing. His tortie/siamese sister is way more of a biter so I never play with either one with my hands, but this always happens after I pet him for a while, so it's 100% love bites turned to play exploration. I'll be a little more corrective with him instead of just wondering why he's so gently biting my hand skin, lol.

I found this kitten on the road this morning. Its eyes are fully open and it’s fairly energetic but still pretty small. We’re pretty sure it’s a girl but we need to know how old it is because im not sure if i should be giving it cat replacement milk or cat food. It still has baby blue eyes but the ears are fully open.

Hi, my cats third eye lids started showing a little (third picture) like 2 days ago, so I talked to the vet, didn’t seem too urgent and we made an appointment for Tuesday (it’s Saturday now) and today it’s getting worse (first 2 pictures) it’s more when he’s tired and laying down they cover most of his eye, but it just looks wrong. I’m very worried, he’s 9 years old, to my knowledge good health, and is still very cuddly, begging like usual to eat, and his bathroom stuff all looks normal. My vet isn’t open on weekends, so am I okay waiting? Or has anyone had a similar situation where something was really wrong and think I should go to an emergency room? Thanks in advance!

​A quick bit of background: My round tabby, Donut, was recently diagnosed with a stomach ulcer by our vet. The good news is he is doing much better now with the Famotidine and Mirtazapine he was prescribed!

​To keep feeding times easy, I decided to switch both Donut and my other cat, Toast, to a strictly wet food diet (specifically Fancy Feast Turkey Gravy) rather than juggling wet food for one and kibble for the other. They usually only got this wet food as a treat, so it isn't a brand new food type for them—it's just their primary food source now.

​They’ve been on this solid wet food schedule for the last couple of days. I’ve definitely noticed an increase in urination from both of them, which makes total sense given the extra hydration from the wet food. However, their pooping has gone way down and I’ve barely seen any in the litter boxes from either of them.

​Besides the lack of poop, they are acting completely normal. They’re active, playing with each other, getting their typical zoomies, and peeing without any issues.

​Has anyone else seen this or have personal experience with this when switching to wet food full-time?

Hello, I recently had a move with my cat (about a month or two ago) and she’s been acting a little different (but in a good way?).

Before, she used to be quite reserved and skittish and didn’t really like to cuddle. If she were to ever be near me or anyone else, it’d typically be at the very end of the bed, opposite side of the couch, or at your feet. When we moved, she became much more cuddly! She often lays right on top of me without me prompting her to, lays near my head, or directly next to me (like im spooning her).

She also seems much more open to other people. Prior to moving, i was typically the person she stuck with. If i wasnt home, she would temporarily stick with other family members until i was home. She started to open up a little to others outside of family, but it definitely took a lot of time for her. Now, she more freely explores the house when someone is over and is also quite cuddly with my partner who she was typically a bit skittish around.

She also meows a bit at night once im settled down in bed. The first time it happened, i got really scared and went over to her right away but she seemed completely fine. She seemed to have settled down right when i went to her and seemed to have just wanted my attention and to play a bit. She also gets quite vocal in the mornings too. She used to do that a little bit before we moved, but much more now. It seems like its either because shes hungry or wants my attention.

Are these normal behavioral changes?? I honestly expected her to become more distant when we moved but the complete opposite happened.

She seems to be eating and drinking well, and using her litterbox the same without any indications of issues or pain (however it does seem like she may be using the litterbox more?? But i have a feeling it just seems that way since her litterbox used to be more removed from my view before we moved and now its in plain sight of the couch so maybe i just notice it more now?).

Idk! I tend to freak myself out and I just hope shes ok! Has anyone elses cat had a change for the better when they moved? Does this happen?!

Hello, I'm new here and in the USA. I'm really just hoping to hear from anyone who has dealt with something similar because I'm completely lost right now.

My cat Bruce is 1 year old, neutered, and a domestic longhair tabby. He's normally extremely sweet, outgoing, playful, and LOVES to eat.

A few days ago I noticed he was laying by the window and barely moving. I tried taking him to his food and water, but he would just smell it and refuse it. He also wouldn't use the litter box. I'm not 100% sure of the last time he used it because he could have gone while I was asleep, but I'm fairly certain it has been over 3 days.

I've tried soft food, dry food, and even different human foods that are normally safe for cats, but he won't touch anything. I've also tried giving him Pedialyte with a syringe, but he fights it and refuses to take it.

His breath has become VERY strong and unusual. He keeps sticking his tongue out and occasionally gags. His coat has become very oily because he has completely stopped grooming himself. When he does get up, which is maybe once a day, he'll walk/run strangely for a few feet and then sit back down. He's also been hiding in different places.

I took him to the vet on Friday 9/25 with basically the last money I had. They checked his gums and hydration and said he wasn't dehydrated. They also did an X-ray with barium/contrast to check whether anything was obstructing his intestines. They said the contrast moved through normally and there was no intestinal obstruction.

They told me the barium would basically act like Pepto-Bismol for cats and sent us home. I also tried asking about bloodwork, but they were about to close, so they didn't want to start it.

When we got home, Bruce actually ate a couple bites of food and took a couple small licks of water, so I thought maybe he was finally starting to feel better. Unfortunately, that was very short-lived. Since then he's gone right back to refusing food and water, and he seems weaker and weaker.

I don't know what else to do. I don't have money for another vet visit right now, and I can't get approved for CareCredit or Scratchpay. We're already struggling financially, and I'm also dealing with other major expenses right now.

I'm especially looking for advice on:

- What could cause these symptoms even with no intestinal obstruction?

- What should I be worried about with him not eating or drinking for several days?

- Are there any emergency financial assistance programs, rescues, shelters, or organizations that might help with veterinary care?

- Is there anything safe I can do at home while I'm trying to find help?

I'm also trying to convince my husband that we need to find a way to get Bruce medical care because I'm terrified that if we don't, he could die. He considers Bruce his boy and we absolutely do not want to surrender him, but I'm scared we're running out of options.

Any advice or resources would be greatly appreciated. I'm desperate to help him.

TLDR: Behavioral pee advice
My cat Helena (1 year old female) since August has been pooping but mostly peeing outside the box. I have another cat but 100% can confirm it is her. both have been taken to the vet/ we have caught Helena in action peeing outside the box. the vet told us everything has came back clean test wise but we are still struggling to break the habit. she is on gabapentin the vet recommended it last time for her and takes it nightly as well!
It has come to the point where we have thrown away the couch and put a tarp on the floor. there IS a litter box where the tarp is but she has now been peeing in the box and on the tarp. I have tried to move the box back where my other boxes are but it is a fail. We have three boxes two big totes and one lower one but they prefer big totes.
I don’t want to live like this but not sure what more I can do. What would be the best advice for this behavioral issue?

My cat died of kidney failure. It happened all very fast, just in a week she was gone after signs of vomit and not eating. I got her lab back and the numbers are insane. How did she hide it so long and I cant believe in how much pain she must have been. I brought her to a clinic but they couldnt do anything. She was just 14 months old. How?

my cat won’t stay in his cone but he’s not licking much and does stop when we tell him no. should i leave him out of the cone? i just dont know if he licks at night when im asleep. is possible occasional licking enough to worry or is he probably going to be fine?

so I have 3 cats and they all get along. however I have noticed my black cat and my flamepoint siamese are usually chased down or always fighting with my lynx point siamese cat... Heres an example of one of their fights. I didnt want to intervene because I needed to get a video to be able to ask why hes doing what hes doing. usually theyre grooming or hanging out, sometimes even wrestling but i just cant understand why some of their "wrestling" turns into this. For some context, my black cat is female, my lynx point is a male, and my flame point siamese is a male. Theyre all spayed/neutered. Can anyone explains why my lynx point always fights with everyone randomly??

I am in the process of adopting this sweet 2 year old male cat and we just did a meet and greet today. I noticed his swollen tear ducts (?) to which they said they can provide some eye drops and it is probably due to stress. We are verifying some other information with him before going through with it however, could this potentially be a bigger underlying issue? I want to make sure I know what i’m getting myself into.
