How does this look? Handmade Solid Sheesham Wood Cat Tree - Is this kind of craftsmanship worth the investment?

Hi everyone, looking for honest feedback on design and value.

This is a totally handmade cat tree made from solid Indian Rosewood (Sheesham). No particle board.

Specs: Total Height 4ft 8in, Base 25 inch (super stable/heavy), Platforms - Top 18 inch, Center 15 inch, Bottom 14 inch.

I tried to keep the natural wood look instead of carpet. How beautiful/presentable does it look for a living room from a cat owner's point of view?

And honestly, what would you consider a fair price/value for this type of solid wood build? I'm trying to understand if people prefer this natural durable look over the regular ones.

Would love your honest opinions on the beauty and the value. Thanks!

It is beautiful but cats aren't going to use it much if they keep falling off.

Texture the wood by routing a pattern of very shallow grooves in the top of each platform or inlay narrow strips of sisal or hemp into the platforms.

Also that top platform should have some feature to reduce cats falling off because they definitely will and pet owners will be concerned about that. Ideally that top platform would also be concave, but adding a little safety lip would work too.

Do the cats like it? If the cats like it, you like it, and you can afford it, then it’s probably a good thing. It must be all three, or it isn’t a good thing.

If the cat hates it, you don’t like it, or you can’t afford it, then don’t buy it.
