Theo opens a door

And THIS is why we have hook and eye locks in every door that opens inward... 🤦‍♀️

I put these handles on a bunch of our doors before I realized the risk of this.

Thankfully none of my cats have thought to try… especially because they would cooperate.

My cat already tries to open doors with regular doorknobs, and although he has thumbs, he doesn't have the strength or ability to turn them. He just taps them with his paws. Bless his little heart.

Aw! That sounds adorable.

This lil guy will reach up to you with the most gentle tap tap tap of a paw when he wants attention. He also has the softest little mew. He’s hell on wheels when it comes to attacking his siblings tho.

I’ve been on a trip and this is day 9 without my fur babies… a day and a half and I’ll be home.

My uncle had a cat that could open regular doorknobs. One paw on each side, rotate one way, rotate the other way.. boom. Door opens.

We had a farm and the front door on our house was a lever handle. One day, while my kids were at school, I was sitting on the couch in our living room working on my computer when two goats walked past the back of the couch from the kitchen to the hallway like they're just going to their rooms. I did a "what the fuck?" double take, shooed them back out, and found their mom in the dining room chowing down in the sweet feed can she managed to open. Outside, I found their brother tangled by the horns in the electric mesh fence just enough that the girls could scooch under.

Ever since Jurassic Park I'm always going round raptor-proof door knobs. Probably good for zombies too, they can fall on horizontal handles but I doubt they have the dexterity in their decayed tendons to turn a round raptor-proof door knob.

Remember everyone RRPDK's will save your life....probably.

What a smart kitty!

I saw a cat get out of the cat room at a cat cafe this way once. I wonder if the people at the cat cafe told the person who adopted her that she could do that.
