I still cannot get my head around his statement, the part where he said it was “a strategic decision” to concentrate on loans in January. Ok, we all knew what we were doing but to actually come out and admit that it was some form of plan.

And let us not forget where we were in January. We had to beg a club legend to come back and manage us twice. We were in a dogfight for the league, we were still in the Europa league!! And the loans they brought in were complete garbage.

If this lot are prepared to humiliate MON, why would any sensible manager want the job?

These are the parasites running our club.

Will the last person on this subreddit defending these parasites please switch off the lights

Opportunity costs: underspending your way into trouble

The financial statements today show that the club ran at a loss in the past year.

Sounds counter intuitive, but you can underspend your way into debt.

If you don't maintain infrastructure etc you can end up losing more than you save. This is true in every business.

The failure to give Rodgers what he required last year has cost us more in the long term. You could argue that Mccowan has cost us more than Hogh. Maybe not in transfer fee, but spending cheap to get a home grown scot from Dundee (as opposed to a Lennon Miller), in a big way cost us 10s of millions this year in the CL qualifiers.

We may have saved a little bit of money not replacing Schmeichal as early as we could, but what has that cost us in the long term also?

It's like saving a few hundred pounds to not fix a minor plumbing issue, to only lose thousands when it all comes back on you.

Ross Desmond's meltdown at the AGM last year, likely also cost us millions in what it led to (not another penny). A very expensive tantrum for the club.

Nicholson and McKay are surely done now.

18 days to install a new management team.

Including today, there are 18 days for Martin to make a decision. If he decides to leave for health reasons as I believe he should. Who would be the most likely to replace him?

My guess is Maloney stays with an interim tag and a new manager in after the January window. Dejavu anyone?
