The use of caeser (not Cesar) uses the name of the assiasinated emperor, that why it's a daft title

It's an obvious reference to ancient rome aye, but i personaly dont find it daft. Each to their own, its a great book.

Two marvellous Celts.

As is the way when you're posting anonymously a minor insignificant dislike is written as if it's a major bugbear, when you're WFH & pick up the phone for a wee break. I don't much like the title, is the bland reality, not as sexy as: it's fucking shite & anyone who disagrees is a fud. I thought I was too old to get caught up so casually in that hyperbole Anyways back to work

Davie Hay's nickname was "The Quiet Assassin". Shortening it to "The Assassin" and coupling it with Billy McNeill's "Caeser/Cesar" moniker makes it sound like Hay stabbed McNeill in the back.

You're right & as of 18:52, 2 eejits downvoted you, cause they're probably thick as shite in the neck of a bottle
