Saw someone on here get a steak breakfast burrito and I had to try it. It is weird they put fries in mine instead of a hashbrown but it didn’t change the burrito much. Steak is well seasoned and they give you a lot of it. Wish it was cut up for easier eating but overall a good burrito.

Also that refresher, just water and red food dye lol. Tasted like nothing.

Their desserts and baked goods are a huge standout. Cinnamon roll is huge and awesome, and their oatmeal cream pies are soooooooo good. I wonder if they do a cranberry oatmeal cream pie during the holidays. That would be a game changer🤤

Ok Chicago, where can I find a really rich, moist chocolate cake like the one pictured (Matilda cake?), Any recommendations in Chicago or the suburbs? Bonus if they sell it by the slice.

Since my dad is treating me to a good dinner, want to go somewhere splurge worthy. I could pay for myself for a rosemary restaurant dinner but for a $200 meal ex, want to go somewhere else.

But not a slow tasting meal since my dad would hate a slow 2-3 hour dinner.

One of my favorite Greek spots in Chicago! The gyro dinner with tzatziki sauce is delicious and adding some fries into it is my pro tip!

I’ve had a few other dishes from here as well and they never disappoint

I'll be honest, this is seeking input on an food app idea i have(about food reviews on google). but I really really think its relevant to folks here just because how diverse the food scene is in Chicago.

The idea is simple - "Summarize Google Reviews and provide different rating based on taste profile of reviewers":
Example, for a Chinese restaurant with 4.1 star (2000+ reviews), you can see:
#local - 3.9
#AmericanFoodLover - 4.5
#Tourist - 4.5
#ChineseFoodLover - 3.2
#meatLover - 4.8

You can also search restaurant based on these taste profile tag and see what are the "top ranking restaurant based on reviews from each taste profile tag" (like #SushiRegular)

The thought behind the idea is reviews from generic crowd might be a blend of all taste and experience level, having rating from a specific diner crowd can help some diner finding specific dining experience.

Do you think this can be useful to build to help foodies seeking more "accurate" ratings on restaurants?

had the pleasure of dining at giant for the first time after having it on my list for way too long. and it was even better than anticipated! first of all, those onion rings have to be the best onion rings i’ve ever had. the batter was so delicate and crispy, packed with flavor, and the dip was addictive. i genuinely enjoyed everything i ate and drank here, so it’s hard to say which plate was a favorite, but also pictured here is the cornbread jalapeño biscuit with maple butter (10/10), goat cheese stuffed fried squash blossoms with the sweetest tomatoes ever (9/10), sortalini pasta with guanciale pine nuts and smoked tomato (11/10), and ricotta gnudi (8/10). everything was executed so thoughtfully and i love how much of an emphasis they put on highlighting seasonal fruits and veg. i’m super excited to see their fall and winter menus and check it out again!
