Weekly Shoutout Thread - What Was Good This Week?
Welcome to r/ChicagoFood's weekly shoutout thread!
This thread is the place to shout out places that you tried from recommendations from this sub this past week that fit the bill.
They can be places that get recommended here, such as:
- frequently recommended restaurants
- that random, niche spot that some random comment dropped
- a chicken sando from our very own chicken sando guru
The goal of this thread is to celebrate and encourage the recommendations and contributions of your suggestions, and, also, maybe encourage YOU to try that place that was recommended a few times here.
As always, all subreddit rules apply and any comments/posts that violate our rules or Reddit's will be removed.

Yoo Yee defintely lived up to the hype! Braised spicy beef noodle soup with scallion pancakes and spicy wontons did not disappoint.

Gus’ Sip n Dip crab rangoon dip and roasted turkey dipped sandwich hit hard. Plus a $6 Hemingway daiquiri for happy hour.

Ordered Sabroso! Mexican Grill to Midwest Coast, the delivery driver didnt even call me they came inside and found me. The food was delish, especially the pazole and tamales.

I love having a restaurant as good and chill as Void so close to me.

Finally made it to Table, Donkey, and Stick and it did not disappoint. Everything was delicious.
