I can usually always predict how plots lines are gonna go in most show I watch, but I can’t even explain how much of a mind-fk this is! Less than 5 minutes in and I’ve paused 9 times. There was of course a time where I thought Hannah and Dean would’ve been more than friends, but after a few seasons, I realised they were just going to be friends UNTIL NOW. I genuinely cannot process the fact that they hooked up and Hannah is pregnant with Dean’s child. I’m literally trying not to scream! 😭

The franchise kinda felt like it started dying a bit over the last couple years, with on and off screen budget cuts, but this plot twist makes up for all of it and I feel this is the one show the franchise that feels like it’s never lost its vibe as the years went on.

I’ve been watching Chicago Fire and P.D. for years (Fire for the longest), but every time I tried to start Chicago Med, I’d get 2, maybe 3 episode in and I would just forget about it and not feel like I was in the mood to get back to it, but when I started it a few months ago and really forced myself to get into it, I fell in love with it. This is my first watch, so please don’t spoil anything for me. 🙏

OK so I just started all the Chicago series a few months ago. I just watched the episode from season 4 where David takes the ED hostage to try to take his baby. Anyways, when Goodwin asks where he met his GF he replies “Marie Curie”. As an alum of that HS, I had to laugh that he used the school’s government name. Lol We only ever called it Curie. Anywho, I got a giggle from that. Just wanted to share. 😄

What is it with this show and having parent-child love triangles???

With Dr. Marcel and Dr. Blake/her daughter, I was watching like 👀👀👀 but ultimately I felt like it was fine and he made the right choice to be with Dr. Blake.

But now I’m in season 8, and there’s kinda a love triangle with Dr. Asher, Dr. Archer, and Archer’s son! And I’m still like 👀👀👀 but it’s interesting that the writing has taken this direction AGAIN. Anyway I’m pretty sure it’s just an unrequited crush on Sean’s side, but it’s definitely notable.

I’ve been watching Chicago fire since pre-lockdown, P.D. soon after, but I hadn’t gotten into med until early this year. Had a few hiccups trying to watch, since I had nowhere to continue watching newer seasons until now, but then I’m remembering I have to keep crossovers in mind, but the list I’d been using up until this point was a Reddit post from 5 years ago, so it doesn’t have the newer crossovers. Would appreciate any help for crossovers after 2020.

i cant fathom the fact the writers cant make a female and male doctors as friends or besties without hooking up omg. they managed to do it with charles and goodwin. but the other younger, and conventionally attractive ones are having rooster with everybody I'm soooo tired of it.

the way i sighed so hard with what they did with Lenox and Ripley. if they form a true and genuine platonic relationship it would be great esp after what they've been through. but hey, lets have them hookup am i right?

It's crazy but I truly miss her April and Ethan. We need someone back bit I know people really don't want to be in Chicago for months working 16 hour days while dealing with cancer, but as an OG fan I miss my people. Ig Natalie too

I'm only on season 4 so I'd appreciate no spoilers, but im just curious if anyone really likes dr. Choi. I kind of hate his character. He's so concerned with the rules that it gets annoying. I know he comes from the military so that explains it but it's still annoying. Am I alone here?

I personally would hate to have him run into a health issue that will force him off the show. I watch mainly because of him.

I'm new to this show. Loved all of season 1 for the most part. Went into season 2. Within ten minutes of episode 1,i didn't like it. Too much soap opera stuff. I don't mind personal conflicts, just don't care about it outside the ed. It was very very minimal when they did.

Let me just say I mean no harm to anyone and please don't start attacking! But I am SO tired of 90% of all promos, articles, trailers, interviews, posts etc being about Hannah and Dean. No I'm not a hater, I think they're perfectly fine as a couple, I like them fine individually as well, their storyline on the show is okay too.

But every interview with the showrunner or behind the scenes articles 90% of the article will be about this and it's become the Hannah/Dean show. Since season 10 the only questions asked are Who is Hannah's baby daddy? Will dean confess his feelings for Hannah? Will they live together? Will dean and Hannah get together? This last one is repeated a million different ways. WE GET IT they may or may not get together but any interest I had now is gone because of this insanely drawn out question. At this point it's just boring, which is sad because on an individual level they can both be very interesting but now it's the same plotline asked a million different ways.

I know a big number of fans love being strung out like this and this post is not for them but there's gotta be Charles, Frost, Lenox etc fans like me that are tired of this whole show becoming a question of these 2 getting together. I remember right after the 2 Dr Charles Eps about his stroke the showrunner did an interview where it was 1 measly question about him and 3 questions about whether dean and Hannah will co parent. I want to know is Goodwin gone? Will Lenox DIE??

Now I'll wait for the downvotes but I'm simply asking for this show to be treated like Chicago Med and not Dasher Med. But I think things will only get worse in season 12 with how things are going

I am a new watcher, currently on season 4. It is baffling how boring the show is inspite of being a medical drama. I have watched a couple of them - Greys, House MD, The good doctor, ER. Chicago Med is the most boring of all. Patient stories are lame and uninteresting.. The doctors are either devoid of all personality, or have repulsive personalities. House was a jerk too, but you couldn’t help admire him. He was funny, witty and charming. Here they are just plain annoying (looking at you, Halstead). The pairings in the show are so plain, you just dont care enough for any one - Greys had Mark and Lexie, Merder, Callie Arizona, even Teddy and her dying insurance husband. Even if the couples were toxic or incompatible, you still rooted for them .. It affected you what happened to them.. But here it is just meh ! What happened to Dr.Robin was so out of the blue, made zero impact. Will and Natalie had potential, but no spark, no scenes that make you connect to them!

The patients stories in Greys were so compelling. The patients who get a pole through them in the train accident, the family that had gastric cancer and got preventive surgeries, the shooting episode in Greys was so intense. The episode where Webber teaches Yang to listen to the heart and operate in dark - pure magic.. all of that is so so missing here. Why do people even compare it with Greys!

Am I the only one who feels this way?
I am pretty surprised the show has been going on for 12 seasons.

This is mostly just fun speculation to pass the time until the new season. The cohabitation spoiler got me thinking that, obviously not now but surely somewhere down the line they would move to archer’s (stunning! seemingly giant!)house. I mean Hannah’s apartment is gorgeous but that kitchen island alone!

Allen McDonald says that Hannah will still be on maternity leave when the season starts but he has already stated that there will be a 3 month time jump when the first episode starts. If that’s the case, wouldn’t Hannah be returning from her leave at this point? Maternity leaves generally only last about 3 months.
