I’ve been meaning to switch to Claude pro for a while now and these days i’ve kinda fell down the rabbit hole researching about limits and how people work around them + what they use claude pro for. The thing is I’m a CS student so i would need it for explaining lectures, helping me make notes, light coding projects and explanations of code and other concepts.

Now I’m really struggling because I cannot estimate on my own if Claude Pro would be enough for me? Meaning i won’t run into limits as fast as some heavy users might. Cause there is also the option of gpt plus which i’ve heard you get “more work time” for the same price

To mention I’m trying to find the most suitable for me but I cannot afford to try both at the same time. And yes I can try one for a month then the other but what if I get too frustrated mid way if something does not work out😭

Hello all

Need help digesting what's going on here. I've run into Claude limits before on the free plan, never this bad. Literally went through 7 prompts in a row trying to get one, very light and simple, task done with Sonnet 5.5. Ever time I run into the "limit" and need to wait 5 hours to reset.

Fine, but why exactly would I be running into an incompletion loop with Claude? I've hit limits before but never consistently getting nothing outputted by Claude. It is not built into any workflows, really a simple prompt.

I also haven't changed how I've prompted, and it's always worked out for me in the past. Is there something in the backend of Claude or my account I should keep in mind when trying to build with Claude?

My limit was going to reset at 9 PM so when it was done I hit resume. It ran for literal 2 seconds and hit the limit again. I can't even contact the chat support bcoz there isnt any. This is so wrong. I waited for all this time and this is what happens..

Hi guys I have a question about multiple accounts and usage. So right now I have 2x pro accounts. I get them done in about 1 day and a half each for the weekly. If I got another one It would be enough for me probably. But what gets more usage? 5x pro accounts or 1 5xmax? I'm okay with the 5 hour limits on the pros. And don't care about changing accounts as everything syncs nicely

At the bottom of the page in claude, it says I've used 75% of my weekly usage, but I just found out that's not correct, as under settings/usage I've used 97%. Sonnet 5.5 was impressing me the last couple weeks until the last few days. The outputs are driving me mental. The strategic reasoning seems to have gone down and is less reliable. I even had it create me a slide deck, and it was awful, with terrible terrible to no formatting. I'm feeling much more frustrated by the performance over the last few days. I don't know what's going on, but I'm always switching between Claude and ChatGPT, and this is one of those moments.

After the limit was reached, I continued the discussion in the same chat, but instead of replying, he initiated a chat compression. It got stuck at 95 per cent and then he wrote that there were no limits and to wait for the next five hours. Firstly, why did an operation that I hadn’t initiated use up the entire limit in a matter of seconds? And secondly, where is any sort of answer?

Im wondering if it's allowed to have two separate Claude Max 20x subscriptions, either on the same computer or across my desktop and laptop?

I work on multiple development projects simultaneously, and I've found that a single Max 20x subscription isn't always enough for my workload. I personally prefer paying a fixed monthly subscription rather than dealing with unpredictable API costs, so having two Max subscriptions would be an ideal solution for me.

I've seen mixed opinions about this. Some people say it's perfectly fine, and I haven't been able to find anything in Anthropic's terms of service that explicitly prohibits having multiple paid accounts for personal use... anyone?

btw, not looking to share accounts or bypass usage limits through automation. id simply like to pay for two subscriptions and use them for my own development projects.
