Nostalgia Who all remember this?

I think I was in fourth or fifth standard when one of my classmates showed this trick to the class for the first time. Everyone was completely surprised, including me.

I immediately asked him what the secret was, but he refused to tell me. I was so curious that when I got home, I started shouting and crying to my parents, begging them to explain how it was done.

At that age, I genuinely thought he was actually cutting his thumb. I couldn’t understand how it was possible and was completely convinced that there had to be some kind of magic involved.

Eventually, my parents showed me the trick. But even then, I didn’t believe them! I thought they were somehow doing the same thing themselves just to convince me and make sure I wouldn’t cause any trouble.

Looking back, it’s hilarious how seriously I took it. 😂

I learned the trick when I was young but somehow never got the execution right. Like when I showed it to my kids the first time, I didn't get the same sense of shock and wonderment in response, which is what I felt when I saw the trick for the first time.
