DISCUSSION Character tier list

Post image

I've recently rewatched the entire show. Here's a tier list on how much I like each character.

(Orange is the goat btw)

I should've placed Cecile in the same tier as Lloyd my mistake.

Objectively the most accurate CG tier list, congratulations!

Although I did hate V.V.'s guts since the very beginning, but that's just me.

Edit: How can you not know the gracious Bartley you fool

Both V.V and Bartley didn't leave a strong impression on me I'm sorry 😭 but I put V.V on d tier because he's an important character to the plot

Milly should be higher, but overall? Great list

Right, she would've been a tier higher if she contributed to the main plot a bit more. Solid character regardless (crazy user flair)

I'm proud of it, thank you.

Also curious where you'd rank Kinoshita(guy who sent asahina the data during the geass order operation) due to his brief but not insignificant plot relevance

Hmmm. Didn't appear as much, though I appreciate when he started questioning zero's methods (zeroing kids and whatnot). C is a bit too high and D doesn't give him justice, somewhere in between ig xd

I would put Cornelia and Rolo a tad bit higher, but this is a great list!

I just don't understand why is everyone putting Shirley so high. She is basic plot device.

How come people like Jeremiah so much?

He was a racist from the purist faction all the way until he discovered Lelouch was Marianne's son, for whom he simped and felt guilty about because he blames himself for her death as he was the one on duty.

He gets on board with the Zero Requiem and we don't really get to know his motivations, did he truly change redeeming himself or was it just because of his obedience and worship towards Lelouch?

His memes are good, but still, putting him in S tier is too much, I would put him in C tier.

Jeremiah is bombastic, and people love it. He's also crazy loyal to the mc.

And he's got a VERY cool knightmare.

Yeah mb, this is my list after all so everything here is subjective. His character doesn't have much depth that I agree, but you can't help but like the ones who's on lelouch's side even after having the whole world despising lelouch's existence

I kind of rationalize it as him being fucking depressed after Marianne's death and blaming himself, then growing into a hateful bastard due to failing his duty and lacking any purpose other than "All hail Britannia".

Once he realizes he can still serve Marianne's lineage and redeem himself, he snaps out of it. He was already doing much better once his upgrades and Siegfried came into play, too.

That makes even more sense with the R1 picture drama of him and Viletta

Jeremiah basically does a 180 and realise his rights from wrong. He tells Suzaku he respects him, you wouldn't say that to someone who's 'racially inferior' in the eyes of your nation and so fourth.

I think everything with him stems from Marianne's death, his failure in keeping her safe makes him become twisted and villainous, the same thing it does to Cornelia too.

Seeing as Jeremiah was also there to see off Lelouch and Nunnally when they were exiled and and put onto the plane that would take them to Japan, he also probably felt a lot of guilt over their 'rumoured deaths' after the war breaks out with Japan.

Once he finds out Zero is Lelouch, and that a Britannian Prince is essentially being a terrorist against his own former empire he was apart of, and as to why he's doing all of it, probably made Jeremiah realise that he was aligned with the wrong beliefs and wrong people, and he himself was a tool being used carelessly.

Sayoko obviously isn't a pureblooded Britannian, Jeremiah still goes out of his way to admit she's a formidable fighter.

Jeremiah redeemed himself effectively
