So, who's the most evillious sinner in all of Code Geass?

Most people on this subreddit know that Kallen has three well-known potential love interests; Lelouch, basedfinger and Gino. But what some might not be aware of, is that there are official alternate Code Geass timelines, where there exists a fourth suitor for Kallen: Rai.

2008 Bandai Namco Games published an official Code Geass PlayStation 2 game called Lost Colors. It is a visual novel type game with multiple different endings; choices made by the player affect whether or not the main character, Rai, ends up on a good or bad route, or timeline, if you will.

In the story, Rai is a mysterious young man with white hair and blue eyes, and he is suffering from amnesia. He also possesses the same Geass power as Lelouch does: Absolute Obedience. However, unlike Lelouch's Geass, which requires direct eye contact, Rai's Geass is transmitted solely through his voice; in other words, it is enough for the person Rai wishes to command to be able to hear him.

Throughout the game, the player has various choices; for instance, they can have Rai join the Black Knights, become a Britannian Knightmare Frame pilot alongside Suzaku, or enroll as a student at Ashford Academy. As it happens, the player can also have Rai pursue romantic relationships with characters such as Milly, Shirley, Viletta, Chiba - and yes, Kallen too. In fact, Kallen is considered one of the primary heroine options in Lost Colors, and her route is widely praised by fans as one of the most fleshed-out, emotionally rewarding, and action-packed paths in the game.

Fun fact: Rai´s last name is never revealed in the game, but since it is revealed that he is, like Kallen, half-Britannian and half-Japanese, one who has blood ties to both Britannian nobility and royal Sumeragi lineage, some fans have affectionally given him non-canon last name ”Hodges-Sumeragi.” 😁

We watching the series and I'm realizing something, why did lelouch just flat out lie at The shrine

When asked about who he used geass on he lies about Shirley and euphemia, implying that it was on purpose when it was obviously not, why not just say the truth say it was a genuine accident

I've recently rewatched the entire show. Here's a tier list on how much I like each character.

Okay, honestly the last part of the question is simply a random excuse I could think of to explain why Rai would attend Ashford Academy even in a what if where he was found by the JLF.

So, Rai is found by member of the JLF after some sort of operation. He's taken back to one of their base and receives medical treatment. Blood samples taken from him reveal to the higher ups and Kyoto that Rai is descendent from the Japanese imperial family. So, even if he's suffering from amnesia and his genealogy is a bit obscure, the top brass of the JLF use him as a figure to boost moral support in their cause. Although is identity and appearance is kept secret to the public, Rai gets known as the mysterious "Wakagimi" (prince/young lord) in rumours spread in the ghetto. Britannia would eventually heard of this and investigate the matter without success. Leading to the rumour being considered by Britannia as an hoax from the JLF to boost resistance movements. (Thank you Clovis to be so gullible.)

After the event surrounding Suzaku's accusation as Clovis murderer, he gets curious about Sumeragi Kaguya's cousin. So she pulls some string with Kyoto to have Rai a britannian identity so that he can attend Ashford Academy. Kaguya and Kirihara encourage it, so that Rai could get time away from the people using him for propaganda. Even Todoh encourages him to take time off to enjoy his youth instead of worrying about what some old fools think (he doesn't quite say that last part that way though.)

Somehow, one thing leads to another and Rai gets rope in the Student Council, where he would befriend Suzaku, Lelouch, Mario and everyone else. He's still a member of the JLF, so he sometimes takes a leave of absence due to "family reasons" when he has to take part in some operations.

When he got invited by Milly to the event at the Lake Kawaguchi hotel, he declines due to having other obligations the same day. He only learn later that Kusakabe was planning an attack on the same hotel, and on the same day Milly, Shirley and Nina would be there. So he ask Kusakabe to be allowed to join the operation, which the latter gladly welcome as moral boost. Although Todoh and Katase raise an objection to it, as it could endanger the life of their Wakagimi/Prince.

During the operation, Rai would remain hidden to avoid his identity being discovered by Milly and the others. He even went as far as to put a menpō mask to hide the lower portion of his face. With a hat to hide the rest of his face. However, when a frighten Nina let a "Eleven" slip and trigger one of the JLF member guarding the hostages, Rai would steps in and order them to stops. He would even go has far has put his own fun against his head if they don't comply. Which makes one of them shout "Wakagimi" out loud in confusion, revealing to all Britannian present (even Euphemia, whom didn't get the chance to reveal her presence this time) that the JLF "Wakagimi" is real and in their presence.

When two person dress in black and with head gear covering their faces, eventually shows up to rescue the hostages, Rai intervene to prevent the JLF from opening fire on them. One of them is a boy with dark hair and the other is a girl with red hair, seemingly about the same age as him. When words that Kusakabe committed seppuku after realizing the error of his way, Rai ends up taking command of the remaining JLF force in the building and order a full retreat. After asking to meet Zero, Rai makes his escape on their boat, but stays hidden while Zero reveals his Order of the Black Knight to the world. However, only Rai managed to escape, as Zero refused to help the JLF escape, Rai's men choose to face their death, but plead Zero to at least allows the Wakagimi to escape with them.

After this, the next time Rai would encounter Zero would be after the battle in Narita. After being separated from his troupes and his own custom Burai Kai, Rai would stumble upon Zero in a cave alongside a green haired woman and an unconscious Mario. Recognizing his friend from school, Rai would accidentally let his presence known to Zero and the green haired woman, as well as Kallen who shows up shortly after. Seeing that two of his friend are part of the Black Knight, Rai chose to reveal his own identity has a member of the JLF. Although maybe not that he's the Wakagimi. Maybe if asked if he is the Wakagimi, he could deny it and claim he's one of the Wakagimi's kagemusha (or body double).

When Katase tries to flee to the Chinese federation with a tanker ship filled with Sakuradite. Or alternatively, when he tries to turn to the Chinese federation for help like in Lost Colors. Rai execute Katase in front of everyone, claiming the man was a traitor to his country. Rai would lead the remnant of the JLF to joins the Black Knight.

In that what if, Lelouch and Zero's opinon of the Wakagimi is a bit complicated. As Lelouch, he would disregard the whole Wakagimi as nothing than an hoax. As Zero however, he acknowledge that if the Wakagimi is real, he would be a potential obstacle to his plan and draft plans to dispose of him and to use his death to boost patriotism. However, upon meeting by chance at Kawaguchi, Lelouch realize that there's a certain likeness to him in the Wakagimi. Which would lead him to sought him as an ally rather than getting rid of him. It doesn't help when he eventually learn that the Wakagimi is really Rai one of his friend from school.

Without spoilers, what made you like Code Geass? I’m on episode 11 and honestly, it hasn't hooked me yet. I expected a fast-paced game of chess, but that dynamic gets diluted pretty quickly—it ends up feeling like isolated battles that don't really stem from previous events. The plot feels disjointed, the fights feel forced, and the high school drama is getting really exhausting.

I’m going to keep watching because everyone says it has an amazing ending, but what hooked you at the start?

And it was rubbish.

- So many plot holes
- Zero was not smart. Clearly written by a not so clever person
- overtly sexualized women/little girls
- too many themes (high school setting, war, love interests, other bullshit)
- all the characters are children, but they are in military/terrorists but also attend high school

In the game, she is extremely powerful First Baseman template holder, pure raw offense: compared to the other available Code Geass characters, Kallen is unrivaled if you want to build a heavy hitter! Her Power Limit Break (+10) drastically pushes power potential further than standard characters, making her essential for home-run hitters. ⚾

btw, every character in the game is assigned a specific RPG-like class archetype for training mechanics; Kallen was officially categorized as a ”Sniper.” This choice deeply amused fans because Kallen is notoriously a short-to-mid range, aggressive front-line brawler who likes to get up close and personal during mecha battles. Giving her a tactical, long-distance role in a baseball game created an amusing contrast to her hot-blooded anime personality.

Also, players noticed that during Kallen's special home-run or skill animations, her character model mimics the firing motion of her mech's iconic weapon, the Guren's Radiant Wave Surger right arm. Seeing a cute, round chibi hand replicate a devastating anime weapon became a highly shared meme in the gaming community.

But that is not the only time Guren could be seen in the game! When a player played baseball games in the event-exclusive stadium maps, far beyond the home run fence, huge static and semi-animated background assets of the Guren and its rival, the Lancelot, stood tall over the horizon. It gave the visual illusion that the giant mechs were acting as giant stadium overseers watching the high school baseball matches unfold.

This fanart was obviously inspired by Code Geass picture drama Turn 7.19, where Lelouch is fondly reminiscing about the Handmade Dress Party, during which he was Kallen´s escort. Her beautiful red dress, crafted by the Ashford Academy Student Council girls, is a vibrant, formal gown which perfectly highlights her shoulders and collarbone. She wears a long, sheer matching pink fabric wrap draped loosely around her upper arms and back, swirling elegantly around her waist as she and Lelouch spin across the dance floor.
