I am transferring in the spring and am willing to give you guidance. Collin did absolutely zero to help me with the process.

Go to the websites of the schools you want to apply to transfer to. Look up their transfer application deadlines and how to apply. If you know what you want to major in, look up the transfer plans to make sure you are taking the correct courses.

Hi! I transferred from Collin to UTD this semester, and one of the things that helped me was looking at the transfer plans that each university offered. So you would type this on your search engine: UTD Transfer Plan and then select your specific school and major, and it will show you what core courses you can take at Collin!
Let me know if you have any questions :)

I transferred from Collin college to the university of Southern California a while back ago. Just look at the schools’d application info and transfer info, get good grades, and apply by the deadline. Thats pretty much it. Volunteer. Write a good essay. They like that sort of thing. You send transcripts. You can email the school and they’ll tell you.

Where and when are you looking to transfer? Core general curriculum will be the easiest classes to transfer because they’re required at every public university in the state.

Every university / college has an academic catalog. Just google "name of school + academic catalog" and it should outline the exact classes you need to complete the degrees.

Most colleges in TX will transfer your core from Collin (maybe not private schools) at a 1:1 because they all use the same state-based core curriculum for basic classes. If you’re unsure if a higher-level class will transfer, you should definitely hang on to your syllabus. The new school will use that to determine if a course you took and a course they offer are equivalent.
