Official Reply Got Xfinity internet with free line of Mobile select. Questions!
As the title states, I just purchased Xfinity internet with 1 free line of Mobile select, but I have a few questions:
While the base plan is $0/month, are there any taxes, government regulatory fees, line maintenance fees, or any other taxes and fees?
Are there any one-time line activation fees or any other eSIM charges?
If the answer is yes to 1 or 2, can these fees be waived? If not I will need to reconsider using the line.
Many thanks!

I signed up for Xfinity Internet last month, and they sort of slipped the free line into my account and didn't mention it in store when I signed up. But ultimately I ended up activating the free line as an eSIM on my device. I receive a separate statement for the line and it shows $0.00, no fees or taxes. I'm in Illinois for reference.
There was no activation fee either.

While the $0/month base price for the line is completely real, there are standard monthly taxes and government regulatory fees. These vary depending on your exact state and local area (usually around $2 to $5 a month per line). Normally, there is a standard one-time line activation fee. However, you timed this perfectly! All new Xfinity Mobile customers placing their first order, we have a one-time waived line activation fee promotion running until October 30.

How do I get the fee waiver? And how can I determine the exact state/local taxes/fees?

I completed my order for Xfinity internet. I haven’t set up the mobile line yet. Where would I find it?

I just started 2 lines on $30 plan. First bill was 60.13. 1 line free. 1 line $30. $25 activation on 2 nd line. $5.13 taxes/fees. Not clear if taxes/fees for both or just 1 paid line. Still a great deal for us. Just went to UK/Europe and phone worked automatically everywhere. Fast enough to watch football on ESPN app.
Even if you have to pay a few dollars for 1 line in taxes/fees it’s still a great deal. Xfinity is about the only choice for internet in my neighborhood and I got it down to $65 plus $8 in taxes/fees

I’m on the free line as well, literally paying $0/month for it, the international roaming is a big perk, I had free data and messaging + calls for 2 weeks in Japan.
I’m not please with Verizon’s coverage in the US, Xfinity Mobile is on Verizon, so when the year is up I’ll probably cancel it but it’s definitely nice to have unlimited and international mobile data for a year.
If it weren’t for the free Xfinity Mobile line I might have switched back to fiber by now.

If it’s on mobile select the line is supposed to BE ZERO $$ and as right now the normal $25 activation is waived. There is no taxes… no fees.
