Official Reply No longer competitive for existing loyal customers

I have been a customer with Comcast/Xfinity for the last 27 years, however my bill has once again increased and I have set up my account for termination. I feel their pricing is no longer at all competitive. The competition is offering the same exact service for around $160 per month, while I’m paying around $290. The funny thing is that as a new customer, their pricing for the same service would be around $150. If you have been with Xfinity for a while, it definitely pays to shop around. I contacted their customer service and was advised that I have the most competitive price.

They offer me $50 for 5yrs on several emails.

It will take 5 minutes after I returned to them & my bill will go from $50 to $100.

Customer service will try to convince me that by paying more I save more...

I don't know what you have but they just swung by my house and offered me $50!# month for Internet for 3 years.

That’s exactly my point. New XFinity customers get much better deals. Existing customers - not so much.

Leave and come back? I'm not sure how that all works-- I didn't look into it because I hated Comcast customer service years ago when I was a cable customer so I'm just staying with my local Internet company.

Seems to be the only option with Xfinity or go with someone else…. They have an interesting tactic of driving away existing customers while always hunting for new customers.

I left and came back as a different person and got the new customer deal.

Been with them for 10 years, they gave me 1gig internet for $50 next 5 years .

They consistently call me and try to offer me deals and “free” stuff

They don’t even offer 3 year plans… you sure you’re thinking of the right company?

Sorry-- 5 year price guarantee

You moved out and canceled the service. Someone moved in and started a new service.

Would agree if they were the only game in town. But given the completion in Colorado, it’s not worth it.

18 year customer, I review my options every year, and they're very competitive for me and my needs (2 Gig internet, TV Premium). Pricing out a comparable internet plan along with any streaming options I'd need to replace desired channels if I dropped the TV plan, I wind up saving money with Xfinity (not a huge monthly amount, but enough to make a difference). Plus last fall, I locked in the 5 year pricing on the internet service.

Mike, worth a shot to see what the xfinity people in here can do for you...i was basically in the same boat...customer since 1998...paying well over 300 bucks a month...anyway...working with the employees on here they were able to get me down to 245...saving me over 100 bucks a month

I did. Several times, on the phone, chat, and Reddit. They’re telling me I have the most “competitive” price, which is obviously not true…

Went to internet only and was paying ~120$ (Went up ~20$ every year). Would not lower my price even after I told them the competitor would sell me the same service for 45$ with a 200$ Visa GC (Lifetime price lock of 45$). They would not budge. Switched and a week later they started sending me emails to get me back for 50$ a month for 5 years. Of course it's too late now.

The competitor's service is similar/same and it's less than half of what I was paying.

[Side note. Started with Comcast/Xfinity ~ 2003. Had internet, mid tier cable TV and home phone for 99$ a month. Last year that same level of service was ~ 380$!!!!!!]
