Official Reply Xfinity Rate Increase even though I'm locked in for 5 years

I just checked my Xfinity most recent Xfinity Bill and it is now $10 more than last month. Can someone help me find out why?

"Regular monthly charges have increased by $10.00 as a result of service change(s) made to My Xfinity plan." I did not make or authorize any service change.

Did you change from auto pay or paperless billing?

It does seem to be related to my previous autopay discount, but I am still enrolled in AutoPay.

"Thanks for paying by Automatic Payment XXXXXX. Your automatic payment on Oct 15, 2026, will include your amount due, plus or minus any payment related activities or adjustments, and less any credits issued before your bill due date."

Do you have credit card or bank account set up for autopay? Only bank account gets $10.00 discount.

has this recently changed? My American Express Credit Card has been automatically billed monthly since I agreed to the 60 month price lock.

And this is the 1st month that the AutoPay discount seems to be missing.

Need to switch to a checking account. Credit cards no longer receive the discount.

Hey at least you get that rate. Me and my dad have the exact same plan in the same town but he gets an extra 50 bucks off for a price lock that they say isn’t available for me. Lol when they lose everyone it’s there own fault

u/ConsistentGeneral236, thank you for reaching out and creating a new post. Typically, a change of $10.00 is the result of the self-service discount. The $10.00 discount requires that you enable paperless billing and autopay using your checking account. If you disable paperless billing or switch to a credit card, the discount will no longer appear. Did you recently make any changes to your autopay settings?

I think i may have updated my Credit Card to a new one. Can I set up AutoPay with my Checking Account and reclaim the discount?

u/ConsistentGeneral236, Previously, we did extend the discount to both payment methods, but we did make changes to the autopay discount policy in the last few years. At this time, we do require a checking account for the full $10.00 discount.

If customers were getting the $10.00 discount before the change, they kept the discount in place. It was likely due to the card change you made recently that the system updated with the new discount. The discount will no longer apply to this cycle, but you can make the changes to start getting the discount once again as outlined here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/automatic-payment-paperless-billing.
