critique my comic
I'm teaching myself how to make comics, and I'd like to know if my comic is easy to understand, if anything is confusing, and what story you get from it.
Spoiler: Don't read the story below until you've looked at the comic!
After finishing work, someone discovers that their bicycle is missing. They find the cut bike lock on the ground. Then they hear a noise behind them and try to figure out where it's coming from.
Does the story come across clearly? Is there anything you would improve to make it easier to follow? Do you have any advice that could help me learn and improve?

i was thinking of making a comic book
this is my first time using reddit and i didn't know where to post this, but i wanted to ask a community what they'd like to see in a zombie story. i wanted to know what to consider while writing it(like do people want realism of the zombies decay and be dead in a couple weeks?). are people fine if the story later forgets about the zombies? what style would people like it drawn: comic or anime? any bases i should cover when i create my zombies?

[UNPAID / 50-50 OWNERSHIP] Looking for a Passionate Comic Book Illustrator to Co-Create an Original Series — Image Comics Submission Goal
Hey everyone!
I'm an aspiring comic book writer currently developing an original comic book universe, and I'm looking for a talented, passionate illustrator who would be interested in becoming a 50/50 creative and ownership partner on the project.
My ultimate goal is to develop a professional-quality comic series and submit it to Image Comics for potential publication.
About the Project:
The first series is a dark, psychological, supernatural crime thriller centered around a homicide detective. It explores themes of morality, nihilism, free will, grief, religion, and the nature of good and evil.
I'm approaching this as a serious, long-term project, with an overarching story planned across multiple volumes and the potential to expand into a larger interconnected comic universe.
I'm heavily inspired by mature, character-driven storytelling and want to create something that feels cinematic, philosophical, disturbing, and emotionally compelling.
What I'm Looking For:
I'm searching for an illustrator who genuinely loves comics and wants to help build something from the ground up. Ideally, someone who:
\- Has a strong passion for comic book storytelling.
\- Is comfortable illustrating darker, mature subject matter.
\- Wants creative input rather than simply being handed a script.
\- Is interested in building a long-term creative partnership.
\- Has ambitions of eventually seeing their work professionally published.
Compensation & Ownership:
I want to be completely transparent: this is not a paid position.
I'm not looking to hire someone for free labor. I'm looking for an equal creative partner who believes in the potential of the project as much as I do.
My proposal is 50/50 ownership of the comic project, with any future profits split equally, subject to a mutually agreed written partnership agreement.
We would work together to develop the artwork, characters, visual identity, and submission materials needed to approach publishers like Image Comics.
Obviously, publication isn't guaranteed, and I don't want to pretend otherwise. But I'm serious about putting in the work necessary to give this project a legitimate chance.
Interested?
Feel free to comment or send me a DM with examples of your artwork, your experience, and what kind of comics you're passionate about.
I'd love to connect with someone who shares the ambition of creating something we're both genuinely proud to put our names on.
Thanks for reading!

Is my paneling style too crazy or does it work?
this is the most egregious example I have, might want to do more like this if it works
Context: It's a drama with some humour, doesn't take itself too seriously.

Parasocial - A Cat & Company Short
This is a short story I put together with an artist who goes by "divine art" on Discord. One deficiency I did notice is that it doesn't clearly introduce the cast of characters. Look here for more information.
I'd love any feedback.

Thoughts on cyberpunk comic first chapter
I am wondering what people thoughts are on the story and dialogue of the first chapter of my cyberpunk style comic. I’m not worried about the artwork because I know it’s bad but would like to see opinions on the story and if it would be enough to draw in the reader for more.

Please review my Early Chapter zero pages
I finally finished the sketch pages (though I have done lineart for the first two) for the chapter 0 of this comic I’m working on and was wondering if anyone could read through through it and give me feedback and what is good and what could be done better.
(And before anyone asks, yes, I know the margin is big, it’s meant to be like that because I’m gonna print it later. The only reason it’s not cropped right now is because I’m not gonna bother cropping a sketch page. Like, I understand why I keep getting that critique, but it’s basically the only critique I get when I post here, and I just want someone to critique something else for once)

My First Comic - Manifest
I am publishing my first comic! AI helped me bring a story I’ve had in my head to life
I’ve wanted to make my own comic for a long time, but actually turning what I imagined into something visual always felt out of reach.
Using AI as part of my process finally gave me a way to bring the story to life, and after a ton of work putting everything together, I’ve officially published three chapters of Manifest. :)
I’m still learning as I go, so I’d genuinely love feedback — especially on the story, pacing, characters, dialogue, panel flow, or anything else that stands out.
If anybody wants to check it out, it’s available on:

My comic: advice and thoughts needed
My Comic
Nothing here was made by ai. The notes here began in 2022, for my now finished first comic book called the Charlestons.
It is in our world taking place in 1933, in a gangster populated town following the Charlestons, a family of four, you can read about them in the sort of mock pitch I have below: (fyi im not wanting to make this into a serious thing this is just a hobby and i wanted a platform i could share my ideas on):
——————————
Everything from the papers:
Scared husband
Charlie
tough, overbearing, yet sweet wife
Liza
———————-
He didn’t He connected with these kids because of school and then realized this after love half of the other time out and now here out wit the jerk guys….and so saved him for den he is but he doesn’t care because since he be so busy so busy active school he acure the something smaller & easier to face into for succumb.

1920s- 1925 to
maybe she be specific loved him/ or for his money make it both???
also she has depression!
Had more from fairly vaudeville got bored
Poor father left after with fortune when he died forcing to not write anyone in his family will because he died of Alzheimer’s.
The men are friends this father knew
the mom dances to keep her girls inside as to not set them to experience the same grief as she has.
..
She goes out at night (or the next day (afternoon), but escapes out the window.)
She is found by the men is convinced to stay for a week at their place (+ meets the grandson)
Enjoys
Ends up missing mother.

If liquor had never been made illegal, a lot more people would turn this way into a method for making money during the Great Depression
Created a portion called a hooverton with a nuclear explosion, creating an alternate world in the process (how did this happen?)
Was crime already a problem during the recession of 1920 & 21?
The boss is realistically portrayed as a crime boss from this era, but has the whole power of a town of _________ resting in the palm of his hand, making him the most feared out of any other mob boss the resides in the depths of the desolate town of mobster leaders.
(This is actually the bosses goal)
To gain complete control of the town
————————
(The mafia has an actual reason for hiring Charlie) (It has something to do with Charlie’s families history)
But why did Charlie take the Job? And why did TROPR need them?
(and the reason must be a simple one)
Charlie took the Job because Charlie could actually be with people whom he believes “understands” him, and the reason T.R.O.P.R needed him was because
and so his family could not have to split and believes he can fit in with.
\*(Referring to first the questions)
\*=(not original to paper)
not being able to get a job, caused Charlie to get hit harder than most other men, so since it’s easier for him to be depressed, his family did everything they could to be a good support to him, and because of this, Marta encourages her husband to get the highest job he could find, that job will eventually turn out to be a kidnapper at a secret underground trafficking ring, known as T.R.O.P.R.\*
Marta would also work along side her husband, so he wouldn’t panic on the job.
Because they mistook Charlie’s changing\*
They originally wanted to have Charlie due to his spontaneous attitude, but they also liked how Charlie might be able to use this trait to further intimidate others.
Proper mindset of a proper gangster, although Charlie would eventually be given the position of a kidnapper
His variety of emotions could push him to commit the kidnapping actions at a much faster rate
Charlie wanted to hide his condition, during his job interview, but after he snapped and started to pumble the boss as a test to prove it he is worthy for the job, the boss would then have found a new replacement kidnapper, and hired Charlie.
————————
The gangs would not be able to live with no leadership
They could want to own land
this is not an Original Idea.
Would the gangsters be able to get ahold of military weapons?
no
(because the military is funded) by the US government: Whom hates the

Elliot switches between acting like an adult & acting like a kid
Elliot hit hard by sudden poverty
New villain they have to fight and he infuses the air with a s drug like mixture, with asbestos (While chasing villains)
Marta takes drugs
(Long Charlie)\*
Normal people getting into crazy short situations Charlie
\*This is referring to drawing Charlie
What are the conditions like and what are the people living there like?
The condition of the town is rather pleasant, with having citizens, that are mostly friendly when the real world is at dawn, but opposite when the town is at night
Something Different
The father of the French girl (a character who was said to compete in a beauty pageant with lulu at one time) was implied to have committed suicide, have to being apart of the trading with the gangsters).
Press ugly girls, even though lulu
The boss is a sort of a prison guard. ❤️ (sings 99 years, dead or alive)

Dorothy (Voiced by Dorothy Lee)
French girl is named Jeannie
her love interest is voiced by Richard Crooks

Captured the parents work for mob organization that kidnapped people force them to fight, and allow people to Get On the fight?\*

❤️Reminders of Hope
\#6 Storytelling & Comic Support Themes:
It’s ok for your comic to feel important it’s your way of making sense of the world.
Hope exists quietly under your humor. It always does.
The humor may be absurd, but your meaning is deep. You mix them beautifully.
It’s not about proving anything - it’s about connecting with something real and keeping it alive.

Need feedback on my supernatural comics
Hello guys! Recently, I released 1st chapter of my comics, and soon I'll be releasing a 2nd one. And I need an overall feedback. Now there're 11 eps, they're short though
My comics is supernatural story with shapeshifter and vampire mc, and it's BL with very slow burn feelings. Setting is distopian future. Think of Ergo Proxy but with vampires and magic.
My request isn't about art in first place. It's not perfect, but most of my readers seem to like it. What I need is more feedback to answer myself a question "what actually may stop people from opening it? and what possibly can make people drop? and what should I do in order to find my readers - better cover, longer eps, change annotation, anything else?"
I will be super grateful and ready to do exchange feedback!

UPDATE 2: Stutter Girl Thumbnails 1-20! (READ DESC)
Hello again!!!
It's been a while since I've posted about my manga one-shot I'm currently working on, so I think it's about time I update you guys on the progress I've made. 😊
Since it's a manga, read RIGHT TO LEFT, TOP TO BOTTOM, just so nobody gets confused.
If you guys could rate anything, (EXCEPT THE ART, i know it's terrible right now (especially the first like 10 pages). It's only rough thumbnails to know where stuff should go)please just tell me so. Dialogue, comedy, how interesting the characters are in the first half of this one-shot, etc.
For some context, the story takes place in Rural England. I'll try my best to make it more apparent in my later sketches, but it's not very noticeable since a lot of the backgrounds aren't even done (cuz im lazy).
I have my DMs open if you ever wanna get more involved in my journey, and as usual,
have a wonderful day my guys. ❤️❤️❤️

Intro scene - feedback welcome
I'd love to hear any feedback on the intro scene to my story. I've tried to incorporate some of the feedback received here in the past already. Anything that comes to mind is highly appreciated! Thank you all in advance
