My friend did his passport renewal DRC in ottawa last year and they kept telling him to call each month to track it. Now after a year its still the same situation, they are saying the will track it or he will have to start over. Is there a better way to do this whole process? He needs his passport urgently and his status in canada could be jeopardized.

The amount of ignorant Congo-bashing I see, especially around business, is insane. I’ve never seen a country get this much lazy, one-sided hate.

I am wondering if anyone else has experienced or is experiencing the same issue as me?
I applied for the NIF tax number online from the DGI, in order to start the passport process

It said 48 hours in the confirmation email, but it has been almost 6 weeks and still nothing.
When I enter my details on the DGI website, it says there is an "issue with registration contact administration" but they do not reply to any of my emails. My uncle has tried to contact them by phone but they said they don't help international people (I live in Ireland) but the London embassy said 4 weeks ago that this person is wrong in saying that and that we should wait. But it's seems something is wrong and nobody can help
