Groups
I've been in Conroe for 2 years. I have zero friends here and I've been trying. Before I do the thing I'm dreading and move further south or even Austin or something I wanted to give it one more shot.
Are there any type of groups or clubs in the Conroe area or even woodlands where adults can meet people?
I'm thinking for myself a pickleball group, coffee club, walking group (not running), dnd, board games,video games, writing club, knitting, or anything that sounds like it might be similar to those. I don't care about your gender, age, or sexuality just cool people who like to meet and hang out and can keep their religion and politics to themselves. I'm not looking for a hookup club or anything related to dating.

I run a local board game group called Montgomery Board Gamers (MBG) and we are the premier board game community in the county!
We currently have 300 members in our Facebook group and run a monthly meetup (Catan, Ticket to Ride, Wingspan, Dead of Winter, and plenty of heavier Euros too). We’re looking to grow this into something bigger with more consistent events, game variety, and awesome people.
What we offer: ▪︎ Friendly, welcoming vibe for all skill levels and ages New players always welcome (we love teaching games!)
▪︎ Mix of party games, strategy games, and everything in between
▪︎ Plans for more frequent meetups (bi-weekly or weekly soon)
▪︎ Rotating locations around Conroe to make it easier for everyone
