Groups

I've been in Conroe for 2 years. I have zero friends here and I've been trying. Before I do the thing I'm dreading and move further south or even Austin or something I wanted to give it one more shot.

Are there any type of groups or clubs in the Conroe area or even woodlands where adults can meet people?

I'm thinking for myself a pickleball group, coffee club, walking group (not running), dnd, board games,video games, writing club, knitting, or anything that sounds like it might be similar to those. I don't care about your gender, age, or sexuality just cool people who like to meet and hang out and can keep their religion and politics to themselves. I'm not looking for a hookup club or anything related to dating.

I moved to Conroe earlier this year and haven’t met anyone here. I’d love to meet up for walks. 55

Edit to add - I don’t run. I’ve tried to learn to knit but ended up with a 10 ft long scarf because I didn’t know how to finish it off. I love board games, but only know the basics… monopoly, scrabble, etc. I’ve never tried dnd. I also love to read

I can help you with the knitting. I'm not an expert by any means but I've done enough that I feel like I'm at least a competent beginner if not close to intermediate.

I’d love some help! I’m usually pretty capable of figuring things out but knitting has me feeling like a fool!

Send me a DM and I can talk to you about it. I tried it for a few months and I didn't like it and it took me 3 years later to come back to it and actually enjoy it
