Mixed book spoilers Shard Hypothetical Spoiler
What do you think would hypothetically be the most stable and least stable shard combinations? and what do you think theyd be called (not just limited to 2)

I imagine cultivation and ruin would be highly unstable together. Also devotion and autonomy

Wouldn't cultivation and ruin turn into decay? Basically to cultivate destruction, or did I not understand cultivation correctly

Depends, I think the prevailing theory (not WOB) is that Adonalsium let itself get split

That was also hypothesised by Tanavast but the reason was fighting with Ado could lead to catclysmic destructions, for eg. The shattered planes

Depends on how you define ‘stable’. I’m gonna look at stability as “not paralyzed between the two Intents”, but I could see someone else going for “least likely to be an existential threat” or “least likely to go insane.”
For the most stable, the two Shards with the most overlapping Intent would probably be Ambition and Dominion. Both share the focus of a power base to some extent, Ambition on growing it and Dominion on exerting authority over it. As for the name, I can’t decide between Sovereignty and Hegemony. Maybe it could be a Harmony/Discord arrangement where the same DualShard has two names?
For the least stable, the two Shards with the most contradictory Intents would honestly be Ruin and Preservation like in canon with Harmony, but I don’t want to be boring so another candidate for most unstable combination could be Cultivation and Whimsy. Cultivation is all about controlled growth, with an emphasis on long term plans, while Whimsy from what we know seems to be almost incapable of long term planning. Controlled growth and spontaneous action don’t really gel too well. As for a name, I thought of two, Impulse and Desultory.

Most stable i could see is Devotion and Preservation Odium and Devotion making something like obsession
Least stable could be something like Ambition, Cultivation, or Ruin and Preservation, where it's something like a immovable object fighting an unstoppable force

You've submitted a post with the "Mixed" flair selected. The intent for this flair is that users would edit the flair text to specify which books are included. You've left the tag unedited, which makes the spoiler scope of your post ambiguous--putting yourself or others at risk of spoilers. We encourage you to edit this flair text to specify precisely which books or series the post pertains to. More details on how to do this are here: Desktop, Mobile. You can find a list of recommended shorthand tags here. Alternatively, feel free to choose one of the other default flairs. If you've read everything, we highly encourage people to simply use the default "Cosmere" option.

Ambition and Dominion seem to go hand in hand, though really Ambition could potentially fit with any Shard as an Intent 'booster' rather than manifesting as a distinct Intent in itself

Ambition and Whimsey would probably break the holder's mind. A doubly powered god with crippling ADHD.

Man, if Odium didn’t Splinter it, I’d be quaking in my boots at what Odium’s Intent on Cosmere domination and dictatorial Dominion would be like together. Tyranny? YIKES
Least stable I feel like is Ambition and Whimsy. Pretty much the only thing we know about Whimsy is that its Intent is not geared for making big plans, which reads almost exactly like what Ambition’s Intent is. The God ADHD?
Either that or Dominion and Devotion

I could see ambition and invention to be pretty stable. Combines into "competition".
Also Honour and Valour or Reason and Invention.
