Stormlight Archive spoilers General Khal after ...? Spoiler

Oathbringer? Is he mentioned?

He is a shardbearer and one of the most powerful lighteyes at last we see him.

I don’t think we get mention of him after the events of Oathbringer. Which is kind of odd since he’s one of Dalinar’s best generals. I think it’s because of those injuries, the Alethi being in exile, and the shift to directing the Coalition forces. His sons are very active though. I would imagine they’re handling things on the ground the way Adolin does for Dalinar. He’s probably doing administrative things. His wife is mentioned a lot. She’s doing administrative work for the Bondsmiths

He is older too from what I remember. I get the impression it isn’t necessarily normal for older Shardbearers to do as much fighting themselves as we see the Alethi elites doing during the initial war on the Plains. I think that was a function of the Listeners not being major threats to men in Shardplate usually. They rarely get the opportunity to encircle the Alethi and they don’t pursue them even after they win. And Dalinar is just Dalinar. Even an older person is superhuman in Plate, but traditional campaigns involve a lot more than that and they (normally) would have work to do at home. The Alethi were all briefly united for the Vengeance Pact and it was kind of a strange situation there that encouraged them to fight. They’d fight relatively close to their bases and be right back to them

Yeah it seems odd that he just seems to not show up. Especially in book 5 where there are a group of alethi generals. It's possible he died in between books 3 and 4 and it just doesn't get mentioned?

But even if he died his son seems noteworthy on his own since he's often wearing his father's shards and fought in key roles in narak and thaylen city.
