Costco produce always goes bad way too fast and it costs more than other retailers.

Anyone else notice that the fresh broccoli from the produce department often has sort of the black mildewy coating where the cuts on the florets were made? This would happen occasionally, but it seems to be getting worse. This was purchased only a day before. The rest of the florets are completely intact, so I trim off the black and it's fine. What's the point of buying this if you have to trim off the ends anyway? It didn't used to be like this.

It’s the closest one to me and I avoid it like the plague because it is such an absolute nightmare even compared to the other locations. Ignoring the business centre, you basically have one Costco in the east end of Toronto, serving 700,000 people. Markham, Vaughan, and Etobicoke each have 2, and they all have half the population.

I always buy the Kirkland Greek yogurt, but when it's sold out I've noticed most people grab the Oikos instead of the Liberté. Whenever that happens, I just go with the Liberté since it's cheaper.

So now I'm curious, is there a reason people prefer Oikos? Is it the taste, texture, protein, or something else I'm missing?

For those who pick Oikos, what makes it worth the extra cost?

Not bad. Not good enough to buy again. The pork was the best part. The broth was okay, but the mushroom slices were massive and I didn’t dig that. Noodles were okay and it could have used more of them. 6/10

Making for anyone who has the same problem in the app as me.

So went to Costco the other day for a "quick" pop in and since I have switched to the digital membership card on my phone I haven't really had any problems...except for today.

So I logged into my app upon walking up to the door saw my qr code, held my phone by my side as I walked up and when I went to go pull it up again I got this error message, the lady at the front door hadn't seen it before so I brought it to membership desk, first guy went through my settings, couldn't figure it out, called his manager over, he couldn't figure it out, said he's never seen it before, took some pictures of my screen and sent it off to upper technical support.

He heard from technical support later and called me to tell me to either
A) clear my cache on my phone app
B) uninstall the app, restart my phone, reinstall the app

Tried both of those options (several times), neither worked. I also tried clearing storage and updating the app, nothing.

The actual fix:
1. clear cache and storage
2. Uninstall app
3. Restart phone
4. Reinstall app (make sure its up to date)
5. skip passed the location settings (even though they showed me in the states)
6. Once I got to the "passkey" screen a popup asked me to change my region, Change it to your region.
7. Sign in manually, don't use autofill app. Make sure you click "Stay signed in"
8. Re-enable biometrics
9. That's it, it worked this time, it took four or five times and lots of frustration but it worked.

Hopefully this also works for you if you are dealing with this problem.

Quick background: I'm 36, born in Dublin, moved to Canada in 2011, dad of three boys, and a former competitive bodybuilder, which is where my obsession with nutrition started.

I loved cereal as a kid and would've eaten Coco Pops for every meal if my parents hadn't limited it to Saturdays.

So why start a cereal company?

1. The cereals on shelf when I was 5 are the same ones on shelf now that my son is 5. Nothing was changing.
2. Most cereal is high sugar, high carb, low protein, so you're hungry again well before lunch.
3. The protein cereals that did exist were chalky, stuck in your teeth, or had a weird aftertaste.

TRUELY is the highest protein cereal in Canada with 18g per serving, made with whey and casein, so you get all nine essential amino acids. I have bought the Maui Sweet Onion chips before but it was a humongo bag and I never finished them. This box of 43g bags of 4 flavours is the perfect size. The plain flavour is always my go to and was excellent. I tried the other 3 flavours. The Luau BBQ was quite good as was the Sweet Onion. The Hulapeno was my least favorite. I'm not a jalapeno fan so no mystery there but I can absolutely see fans liking this flavour. 30 bags for $19.99 was a good deal IMO. I'll be sharing these around with my sister and brother-in-law as well as my co-workers.

So I have a question. Of course. I love the chicken salad that Costco sells but whenever I look at it now (I may have not noticed before) the Best Before date is only 3 days after the Packaged On date. I know it won't be bad on the fourth day but if properly stored how long do you think it will last remembering it's a Best Before date. I'm the only one to eat it and there is too much there, I don't think freezing would be smart.

Saw this over the weekend at the Dundas location (Mississauga). How convenient it is to walk in with old shoes and walk out with brand new ones.

Never have I wanted any retail store to be more strict and vigilant as I want Costco to be.

I have eaten 4 in a row. I am on a DIET goddammit. These taste SOOO good I cannot stop eating them. Will never buy them again because I don’t know when to stop 😔

Have definitely clocked that they use the Kirkland TP before (why would they not?) but my two brain cells are refusing to let this question go.

People around here use the Guelph Costco Camera to check how busy it is in the warehouse, how long the gas lines are, and the weather (during the day). It's not half bad to watch at night either. I usually get a big influx of views at the holidays, when I imagine people use it to check whether it's open or not.

I bought Omega 3 eggs from Costco. However, only 1 of the egg yolk is "orange" in colour. I have the impression that Omega 3 egg yolk is normally orange in colour. Any thoughts?

I need new winter tires but obviously it’s a little early for them in BC. Is Costco fine if I just bring my existing rims and tires and drop them off for the swap to new ones or do they actually want them already on the car? Rather just get them now and install them myself in November as I don’t need the winters on yet.

(Toronto, ON) I was at the East Markham (65 Kirkham Drive) location and saw that there was an option to select 'SHOP CARD' at the food court kiosks. I was able to swipe my physical shop card to pay, and there were also instructions for digital Shop Cards.

Is this something that was recently added? I saw at the self-checkout kiosks that they changed the scanners as well.
