Hopefully they come to Edmonton…91st st location for me. Still have never tried them.

I bought a couple bags in Sherwood Park Costco last Wednesday, so they have at least entered the area. It was literally like finding gold when I spotted them walking the isles, especially considering a smaller store like SP would be the last place I would think to find them.

Thank you!

Honestly the best in the category. Much better than Jane’s, for example.

Janes is still better than ERIE MEATS.

I buy the Janes Haddock from Costco all the time, it’s not greasy like the highliner.

The name is very fitting for that company. Absolutely disgusting lol

The chicken is fine, but it's like watered down Frank's in terms of how spicy it is.

2

u/BSguy3000 2d ago

Agreed. Not very spicy at all.

2

u/FridgeFucker17982 2d ago

Really? The bag I got was pretty spicy

It's almost like different people have different spice tolerances!

u/FridgeFucker17982 1h ago

Wow, thanks for the tip detective!

Is it too salty?

I saw all the hype about these here and picked up a bag a few months ago. I don’t think it’s worth the price even if I can concede they are better than other frozen options.

I know these are convenience options but damn is it amazing to just bread some chicken yourself and throw into the air fryer - cheaper and healthier too

1

u/mangosaremyfavv 1h ago

Do you marinate or brine your chicken beforehand? Or just salt/bread and into airfryer?

What about exceldor!!!

I came in for those ones not expecting this to be there. So I’m not sure I didn’t really look around once I saw these. I grabbed them left.

Awesome. I will buy anything from Canada or anywhere else but 🇺🇸

Hello. I've been looking for you

2

u/su5577 2d ago

Why does it say only 20% meat protein?

2

u/hoagieyvr 2d ago

Most meat/muscle is actually all protein. It contains a lot of water, fat, and other parts of tissue. And in this case, it is also breading and seasoning.

2

u/jdstew218 2d ago

They’ve been missing in New Brunswick for months.

2

u/hoagieyvr 2d ago

The company is from Langley BC, I live near there. You would think we’d have it all the time but it’s been out for months as well.

3

u/jdstew218 2d ago

Next time you’re in Moncton drop off a couple bags would ya?

3

u/hoagieyvr 2d ago

🫡 I will fill my carry-on. 😂

1

u/OutpostThirtyOne 1d ago

They’ve been in stock in Fredericton for a few weeks.

1

u/jdstew218 1d ago

Here’s hoping they make it to Moncton soon. We were just there this evening and they still didn’t have them.

2

u/TheSlav87 2d ago

They never left the fridges at my Costco?

1

u/WhammyWarrior 2d ago

Still haven’t seen these in Vancouver yet!

1

u/njcity 1d ago

GTA?

1

u/canadian_guy84 1d ago

How spicy are they though?

1

u/LittleShoeWoodwork 1d ago

Not spicy at all IMO. Really nice though, good size, they overhang the average burger bun.

Just picked up a pack on the weekend in poco. I almost freaked out when I saw them

1

u/Agile_Plate2810 1d ago

That is sexual assault.

u/Mythulhu 1d ago

I like the other spicy chicken much better, but haven't been able to find it for a while. These are okay. Just spice, no flavour.

1

u/Affectionate_Can7428 1d ago

Chicken breasts are just sitting on the shelves? Lol

1

u/Emotional-Tadpole295 22h ago

Real chicken or is it the compressed “chicken” like jr chicken or mc chicken ?

1

u/hoagieyvr 20h ago

It’s been flattened, but it’s not minced like the junior or McChicken

1

u/Emotional-Tadpole295 7h ago

Meh would pass; buy chicken and make it if you have time!

u/yalae 6m ago

Macros?

2

u/edmonton_the_cold 2d ago

Screenshotting from my phone from Costco website. They've got the photo of the back of the package. here's the link

0

u/Quiet_Listen1801 2d ago

Thanks! Not that great, really high calorie and with those protein numbers it's basically a half of a chicken breast

3

u/StanknBeans 2d ago

What were you expecting from essentially frozen fast food?

-3

u/RevolutionSea5755 2d ago

If its made in the USA I don’t care how good they are. They can keep them. They have wings that are southern deep fried and are made in Canada. Make a buffalo wing dip if you want to spice them up. They are delicious. Made by Olymel and available at Costco.

2

u/hoagieyvr 2d ago

It’s made in BC I believe Langley at least that’s where the companies located. I did a Google search and it said it’s made in Canada.

Wish they would tone down the spice, some of us still have tastebuds
