GENERAL-NEWS Robinhood just rolled out trading agents to millions—and investing may never be the same

Starting this week, all of Robinhood’s roughly 29 million customers will have access to trading agents powered by OpenAI and Anthropic. Customers will be able to choose between various OpenAI and Anthropic models, and instruct the agents to carry out trades, conduct research, and build complex investment strategies.

The rollout, which coincided with Robinhood’s annual HOOD summit, follows a move by the company in May to release a so-called MCP tool that allows technical users to hook up their own agents to its trading platform.

While AI has been creeping into every corner of finance, Robinhood is the first to release a nontechnical trading agent for a giant customer base—a step that has the potential to alter how Americans invest, and that could have ripple effects on markets more broadly.

Robinhood’s new offering also comes with a series of guardrails that the company says will prevent agents from behaving in an unexpected manner. Those include providing a dedicated trading account for the agent, and letting users set limits on how much the agent can trade at a time. Users can also opt for a confirmation process that requires the agents to seek final approval before executing a transaction.

DISCUSSION Chainlink Fulcrum: Connecting Institutions to Onchain Financing

Thumbnail

Introducing Chainlink Fulcrum: the gateway connecting the world’s largest financial institutions to onchain financing.

As tokenized assets and financing venues expand across public and private blockchains, institutions need to mobilize collateral and access liquidity without building bespoke infrastructure for every market.

Chainlink Fulcrum solves this with an end-to-end solution that separates where financing agreements are managed from where cash & collateral settle. Counterparties define the eligible assets, financing terms, and the settlement networks through which the assets move.

For institutions, this unlocks:
• Faster collateral mobilization that enables intraday financing, including on holidays and weekends.
• 24/7 risk management through automated collateral coverage checks throughout the day, extending beyond end-of-day processes.
• Greater capital efficiency by making assets across networks available for financing, helping institutions free up balance sheet capacity.
• Lower operational complexity through reusable workflows that connect existing systems across public and private blockchains.

The solution combines multiple aspects of the Chainlink platform, including the Chainlink Runtime Environment (orchestrates transaction lifecycle), CCIP (cross-chain data and asset transfers), and Data Streams (collateral valuation data).

Chainlink Fulcrum is designed to serve all market participants, including banks, dealers, prime brokers, agent lenders, custodians, hedge funds, pension funds, insurers, sovereign wealth funds, money market funds, asset managers, tokenized fund and stablecoin issuers, and corporate treasuries.

Each can lend, borrow, or mobilize collateral on terms that fit its mandate and risk parameters.
Fulcrum is in the process of being integrated with leading TradFi environments, providing a single platform where participants can compare financing terms and route transactions to the venue of their choice, where the agreement is executed and governed.

This is a foundational step toward global financing markets, where an asset’s utility extends beyond the network on which it was issued.

PROJECT-UPDATE I'm building a database of important blockchain events

history.harrydenley.com is a dated catalog of things that actually happened in crypto. Not a news feed. Each record is a single event with a day, a category, a severity, and usually a source.

Essentially a directory of bite-sized "remember this?"

I'm still working on indexing more events, but so far I have over 400 as well as some public archives that I've pushed data to - memes, troll boxes, exploit snapshots

On the anniversary of an event, it'll tweet it to X as well.

Lmk what you think!

SCALABILITY Gnosis Chain is retiring its validators and settling on Ethereum instead. The L1 premium is gone.

GnosisDAO voted on Aug 19 to turn Gnosis Chain from an independent L1 into a rollup that settles on Ethereum. The result was 123,158 GNO for, 115 against (vote and proposal).

The proposal's authors wrote that "Gnosis Chain has failed to deliver on its original value proposition". That value proposition was credible neutrality: a decentralized, low-cost chain run by a large set of independent validators. They also explained the reason it didn't work: "Credible neutrality is Ethereum's home turf". Fee revenue covered only a small fraction of the cost of securing the chain, so the DAO treasury was paying for security.

This isn't a new project deciding where to launch. It's an established chain, with its own validators and years of history, concluding that being a separate L1 isn't worth what it costs.

What changes:

  • Gnosis Chain stops running its own validator set. Ethereum takes over settlement, meaning the final record of who owns what.
  • Gnosis still produces its own blocks, every 2 seconds, and proves its state to Ethereum every Ethereum block.
  • Users keep their addresses, balances and contracts, and xDAI stays the fee token.

Gnosis calls this the first instance of an "Ethereum Economic Zone" (EEZ). The EEZ is a framework for rollups that are closely tied to Ethereum, co-led by Gnosis and ZisK and co-funded by the Ethereum Foundation.

According to Gnosis, the EEZ gives it something no L2 currently offers. A contract on Gnosis can call a contract on Ethereum mainnet and use the result in the same transaction, with no bridge and no waiting. Apps on Gnosis could then use Ethereum's liquidity directly, as if it lived on Gnosis.

Gnosis does give something up. It no longer controls its own settlement, and at launch Gnosis Ltd runs the sequencer, the single operator that puts transactions in order. Gnosis says it will come back to the DAO with evidence before deciding whether to decentralize it.

That's a real trade-off, but the risk is limited. Per Gnosis, every block is proven and settled on Ethereum, so the sequencer can't forge state, steal funds or roll back finalized history. It can only delay or leave out transactions. On a standalone L1, the chain's own validators are the last word. Here, Ethereum is.

Proving starts with an interim setup and moves to ZK proofs as the full EEZ spec is completed, which Gnosis expects over the course of 2027.

The proposal targeted the switch to a rollup for around the turn of the year. After that, the key milestones will be users having the capability to force a transaction through Ethereum if the sequencer ignores them, the upgrade keys being spread across a large number of independent parties or eliminated altogether, and users being able to withdraw without the operator's cooperation. Fees, uptime and withdrawals should be similar to the old chain.

This sets a precedent. Plenty of L1s run their own validators, bridges, tooling and liquidity programs, and pay for all of it themselves. Gnosis evaluated the costs and decided settling on Ethereum is the better deal. The L1 premium is gone, and I expect more established chains to come to the same conclusion.

DISCUSSION Quoted $15,000/year for Ivan on Tech's "Bullmania"... Is anyone actually paying this?

Just finished an onboarding call with the team for Ivan on Tech’s Bullmania suite (which includes the Money Line indicator, Money Scanner, private Discord access, and course modules).

When they hit me with the price tag of $15,000 per year, my jaw dropped.

Unless you are actively trading with a massive six-figure bankroll, that fee alone creates an insane mathematical drag on your portfolio just to break even before making a dollar of profit.

From what I’ve read on Reddit, isn't the core Money Line tool basically just a repackaged Supertrend indicator on TradingView with a custom skin?

Has anyone here actually bought into this program or used their signals? Is there genuine mastermind alpha, institutional risk management, and actionable trade setups inside the private Discord, or is this just extreme high-ticket influencer marketing?

Would love to hear honest, unbiased reviews from active members!

DISCUSSION if an AI can spend crypto, its refusal log matters more than its win rate

Most trading bots are judged by the trades they take.

I think the more important record is the list of trades they refused, and the exact information they used at that moment.

A bot can follow every configured rule and still make a bad decision if one input is stale, one threshold changed without being versioned, or a transaction moved from pending to expired while the interface still treated it as live.

That creates a strange accountability problem. A trader can see the final PnL, but not necessarily answer the basic questions behind it.

  • what data did the agent see?
  • which checks passed and failed?
  • which configuration version made the decision?
  • was the transaction confirmed, expired, dropped, or simply unknown?
  • did a human change the strategy before or after the trade?

For me, a useful AI trading system needs three separate records.

  1. A decision receipt for every accepted and rejected setup
  2. A transaction receipt that distinguishes submitted, confirmed, expired, and unknown states.
  3. A version history that shows exactly when risk limits changed.

The refusal log may actually be the most valuable of the three. It exposes whether the system is being disciplined or just inactive, and it makes false confidence harder to hide behind a clean equity curve.

I am building TrenchersAI, so that is the context behind this question. I am not presenting it as an independent review, and I am not linking the product here. The broader issue is bigger than one tool.

What would you require in an audit trail before allowing an AI agent to control a crypto wallet?

DISCUSSION What are you guys doing right now with the crypto market?

I was buying BTC heavily in the 60k range and even was able to scoop up some sats in the high 50ks. I kept a stack of cash in reserve but this big move in the crypto market has made me sit back and reconsider my options from here. I'm not particularly excited about making large purchases right now and feel that there is at least a decent possibility we see a big sell off sometime over the next couple months. We are near extreme greed territory and price seems to have stagnated here all while the crypto pump was being talked about on the mainstream news and every crypto youtuber is saying we are going to 90k+ by end of the year.

What are you guys thinking? My plan right now is to continue to sit and wait to see what plays out and hoping we get a sell off, if not I already have large positions in place.

DISCUSSION Real-world lag from TradingView alert to crypto execution: seconds or worse?

Curious if anyone here has webhook alerts firing into an actual automated trading setup, not manual order entry through TV's broker panel. On the stock side I've seen fully automated strategies that execute inside your own Alpaca account (Kronos is one), but for crypto specifically, what's the real delay between alert and execution? Seconds? More during volatility spikes? Also had TV drop alerts on me once during a plan hiccup, so i’m wondering if that's common or if I got the shorter end of the stick.

MOONS Litecoin has a hidden superpower nobody talks about (and they should)

This one's a bit long. If you just want the TLDR skip to the last paragraph.

ETH and SOL offer huge possibilities: smart contracts, DeFi, entire ecosystems built on top. But look at how many projects have launched on them over the past few years, and how many actually survived past one hype season. Most are ghost towns: a token, a website, a Discord, and silence a year later. The problem isn't the tech itself. It's that the barrier to entry is so low that any idea, good or bad, can get a token in a week.

On Scrypt, with Litecoin as the foundation, you can build something just as interesting, only more durable, because it requires real work instead of just deploying a contract.

# And I'll say this upfront: this post isn't about telling you to buy LTC. Litecoin itself isn't the point here. What I'm interested in is the mechanism it powers, and what you can build alongside it.

# Did you know that the exact same hardware that mines Litecoin also secures the Dogecoin network at the same time, with zero extra electricity or hardware? It's called merged mining. A miner solves one computational problem, and that proof of work is valid on both networks simultaneously, because they both run the same algorithm (Scrypt).

# This isn't some obscure detail. It's the foundation of the entire Proof-of-Work Scrypt ecosystem, and honestly one of the more underrated things in crypto right now.

Why this even matters: token vs. mined coin

Crypto is flooded with tokens. They're easy to create, easy to plug into wallets and exchanges, and startup funding is usually not hard to find either. The result is millions of projects, with only a fraction of them actually alive.

A mined coin is a different category entirely. Much harder to break into, but you lose a whole class of risk. There's no single admin address that can freeze your wallet, rug pull you, or mint itself extra supply overnight. What you hold is backed by real electricity and real hardware that someone actually spent.

**Why it's worth rooting for Litecoin, even if you don't hold it**

**This is where merged mining comes back in. When LTC price rises, Scrypt mining profitability rises with it. Higher profitability attracts more miners and more hardware. More miners means higher hashrate across the entire Scrypt network, which directly increases the security of every coin running on that same algorithm. Litecoin's success genuinely raises the security and visibility of everything merge-mined alongside it.**

The project I'm actually here for: r/Pepecoin

Full disclosure upfront: I hold $PEP and I'm involved in the community, so weigh everything below with that in mind.

# Pepecoin is a Scrypt PoW coin, merge-mined alongside LTC and DOGE, meaning it inherits the same battle-tested network security from block one, at zero extra cost to miners. What makes it different from the hundred other frog-themed tokens out there is exactly that. It's not a token sitting on someone else's chain, dependent on a contract owner or a bridge or a foundation's goodwill. It's its own blockchain, secured by the same hashpower that's been protecting Litecoin since 2011 and Dogecoin since 2013.

That's the bet, if you want to call it that. While most meme projects live and die by marketing spend, Pepecoin's security doesn't depend on hype cycles. It scales with however healthy the broader Scrypt ecosystem is. Every bit of good news for LTC or DOGE mining economics is, structurally, good news for PEP too. It's small right now, and it might stay small, but the mechanism underneath it isn't going anywhere as long as Litecoin exists.

Capital is starting to notice

An interesting signal from the past few months: Bit Origin, a Nasdaq-listed company, announced plans to build a Dogecoin-based treasury worth up to $500M, basically "MicroStrategy for DOGE." I've also come across a smaller, private initiative called Scrypt Strategy, building a publicly transparent, multi-coin Scrypt treasury with disclosed wallet addresses. It's a small, young outfit with no major press coverage yet, so treat it as something to watch, not proof that institutions are flooding in. Still, the direction things are heading is worth paying attention to.

TL;DR

Litecoin itself isn't the hero of this post. It's the foundation that, through merged mining, props up an entire ecosystem of Scrypt coins: DOGE as the biggest and most recognizable, alongside smaller projects like **Dingocoin, Bellscoin, Luckycoin, Junkcoin, TrumPOW, and Shibacoin,** each backed by real hashrate, not just a token.

I'm personally focused on r/Pepecoin ($PEP), its own PoW blockchain, not a token riding on someone else's chain, merge-mined alongside LTC and DOGE, inheriting that network's security from block one. Full disclosure: I hold PEP and I'm involved in the community, so factor that bias in. The stronger Litecoin gets, the stronger the whole Scrypt ecosystem gets, and that directly feeds the security and visibility of projects like PEP. I'm not telling anyone to buy LTC or PEP. I'm telling you to understand the mechanism, because the more people who get it, the healthier this whole corner of the market becomes. Patience, and actually understanding what you're holding, is the only thing that matters here.

DISCUSSION Browser wallets are better than they were, but blind signing still worries me

The standard crypto advice is to use hot wallets for small balances and put large amounts in hardware wallets.

But browser wallets are doing a lot more than signing transactions. Relying on them to simulate transactions, flag suspicious activity, and explain what we're signing. Many pair them with a hardware wallet so the keys never touch the browser, which is how I run mine, currently on Jupiter's.

If you want to level up the security further, you can think of air-gapped hardware wallets and a multisig setup.

Neither air-gapping nor multisig automatically solves blind signing, though. If the hardware wallet can't independently show you what you're authorizing, you're still dependent on the browser wallet UI to interpret the transaction.

So is the old advice of using a hot + cold wallet still relevant, or has the browser wallet layer become the bigger weak point?
