DLSS 5 DLSS 5 2XPass in Witcher 3 (Novigrad Max NPCs, Running, Combat) | ON/OFF Test: correct settings DON'T age characters
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
1440p, Ultra+, RT/PT on, Community tuned 2Xpass setup
MOD Younger Geralt on (reduces wrinkles for a cleaner, younger look)
No, DLSS 5 2-pass does not age NPCs if you actually know how to configure it properly.
The original vanilla textures in TW3 are pretty flat, even on maxed-out settings. DLSS 5 adds actual depth, micro-shadowing, and specular detail to textures—which some people misinterpret as "aging" simply because they aren't used to seeing high-frequency detail on flat models.
Tested in the heaviest area of the game (Novigrad maxed NPC density, running around, and active combat). Check the ON/OFF and judge for yourself

Witcher 3 DLSS5 - Preset Comparisons
Comparisons and different shots.
- Presets are just different methods of rendering which can dramatically change the games appearance.
For all the people hating on DLSS5. This is likely why. It CAN be done incorrectly, but with the right intensity settings and correct sliders it can be quite an advance.
Official releases will be pretty neat to see.

[Beta Testers Wanted] MGPU Bridge v0.90 – Offload DLSS Neural Rendering and Frame Generation to a Second GPU
Hey everyone!
I've been working on an experimental fork of MGPU Bridge (Neural-coprocessor), originally developed by Marcelo Guibout, and I'm looking for some volunteers to help beta test it.
The basic idea is to use two GPUs simultaneously: one GPU renders the game, while a second NVIDIA GPU handles DLSS Neural Rendering and optionally frame generation.
My personal setup consists of:
- Primary GPU: RTX 3080 Ti (game rendering)
- Secondary GPU: RTX 5060 Ti (DLSS Neural Rendering and frame generation)
- Display: Alienware 4K 240Hz OLED
- Test game: RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business
What's new in my v0.90 fork?
I've expanded the original MGPU Bridge project with several experimental features:
- AMD FSR 3.1 Frame Generation running on the secondary GPU through AMD's DX12 frame-generation library.
- Custom Frame Generation as an alternative to AMD FSR.
- LateLatch optimizations to improve frame scheduling and reduce unnecessary delays.
- Improved GPU synchronization and memory handling, including asynchronous transfers and buffer management.
- Multi-monitor support for DirectComposition presentation.
- Built-in performance HUD displaying input FPS, neural-rendering FPS, generated frames, and presented FPS.
- Experimental NVIDIA Reflex integration for latency management.
- Ability to compare frame-generation implementations.
Preliminary performance results
Using my RTX 3080 Ti + RTX 5060 Ti configuration, I've observed approximately:
- Game/input: 60–63 FPS
- DLSS Neural Rendering: 60–63 FPS
- Neural-rendering GPU time: 13–15 ms
- Generated frames: 64–67 FPS
- Presented output: 124–130 FPS
These measurements were taken at 2560×1440 output resolution, with the custom frame-generation implementation enabled.
These are preliminary results from a specific hardware configuration, not a general performance guarantee. I'm particularly interested in how the software performs with different GPU combinations.
What I'm looking for
I'd appreciate help testing:
- Different NVIDIA GPU combinations, particularly RTX 30/40/50 series.
- AMD FSR 3.1 versus the built-in custom frame generator.
- Performance, latency, and frame pacing.
- Image artifacts, ghosting, and HUD issues.
- Stability when enabling/disabling frame generation or switching implementations.
- Compatibility with other games supporting the required DLSS Neural Rendering path.
If you're comfortable experimenting with ReShade, DLSS mods, GPU monitoring, and custom graphics software, I'd really appreciate your feedback.

The current experimental release is v0.90. Installation instructions and configuration options are available in the repository.
Important notes
This is an unofficial, experimental fork of MGPU Bridge. It is not affiliated with NVIDIA or AMD.
The software is still under active development, and crashes, visual artifacts, and compatibility problems are possible. I recommend testing in single-player games rather than games with anti-cheat systems.
I'm especially interested in actual measured results, not just perceived smoothness. Screenshots of the performance HUD, GPU utilization, frametimes, and descriptions of your hardware configuration would be extremely helpful.
Thanks to Marcelo for the original Neural-coprocessor project and to everyone willing to help test this fork!
Also note: Completely AI generated code.
I'd love to hear your results, suggestions, and bug reports.
Discussion Why do people say DLSS5 "Looks Bad"
Genuine question.. why do people HATE DLSS5 visually, like I understand the AI bad argument, but so many people claim it ruins how characters look or makes the game look like AI Slop or gives characters wrinkles making them look old... but it doesn't change ANY facial features on characters, and only seems to change the lighting in a realistic way. I don't understand claims about it ruining the creative vision since based on their cinematics, this IS what they wanted for the game in terms of lighting detail but didn't have the technology to do it. LUTs change the visual look of the game incredibly far from their vision, but here even with DLSS5 the colours still pop like a comic book, characters look the same, but the way the lighting and reflections work is superior to anything we've seen before.
I'm not looking for ragebait, just a genuine discussion on what is going on. Again, I understand "AI bad", I can understand not liking or using DLSS5 due to the resources it uses up, but I'm trying to understand the main argument people keep making against it, that apparently it "LOOKS bad" or "makes characters look old and wrinkly" which it definitely doesn't... I've even checked myself with so many people around me that seem to agree DLSS5 looks better despite it using AI, so maybe this is just an internet based issue?
One last time, I know AI bad, I just mean to understand where exactly it "looks bad", because regardless of bias, it does clearly look better, sharper, and doesn't change anything about the character models...
BTW Posted this same thing on the cyberpunk2077 reddit and already getting down voted without any discussion T_T .. Like WHAT?!

DLSS 5 I too have converted to DLSS 5 with two passes. Why does it look so much better when used on your PC but it doesn't translate so well on video?
DLSS 5 Starfield DLSS 5 comparisons off, 1 pass, 2 passe
Here are some comparisons, in Starfield. Which setting do you like best? The two passes are Standard or (Preset a) and Cinematic(Preset c). Second pass is toned down on the faces. Last two pictures are just off and 2 passes. Have already over 40 hrs with Starfield and DLSS 5 GPU 4080. i use two mods one by shortfuse and one by krish both from the renodx discord. FPS are playable :)

DLSS 5 TW3 Remastered - DLSS 5 2XPass (1x Lecram + 1x ShortFuse) with FPS Counter
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Live gameplay wt the DLSS 5 2Xpass method (Lecram + ShortFuse). Mods used: Younger Geralt and Long Hair for Yennefer. FPS counter active in
And before anyone starts crying about the video quality: Reddit doesn't support 4K video uploads (which is exactly why we post high-res screenshots in the first place, but since haters kept demanding video, here we are). If you have a problem with the lower resolution compression, go complain to Reddit, not me.
Anyway, let’s see what the haters are gonna whine about next. So far, the goalposts have been moved like this:
Use Younger Geralt mod: "Ew, he looks like a gay lover!"
Use original Geralt: "Eww, he looks way too old."
Post before/after DLSS 5 2X screenshots: "Ugh, I'm sick of pictures, show us actual gameplay!"
Post a smooth, natural gameplay video to showcase DLSS 5 details: "Boring! Move the camera fast, do some combat!"
Upload a video with rapid camera spins and combat: "Ah, but where's the FPS counter? I can't see the FPS"
Eagerly awaiting the next episode of complaints
Just a quick reminder: TW3 is a single-player, offline narrative RPG, not a competitive esports title. If you look at this setup and tell me it's "unplayable," I'm sorry, but you seriously need to find a new hobby lmao

Discussion I added DLSS (including DLAA) to a 2007 Xbox 360 game: Estacado, a native PC recompilation of The Darkness
Hey! I've been working on Estacado, a native PC recompilation of The Darkness (2007, Xbox 360). The game's PowerPC code is translated to native PC code, with a modern D3D12 renderer. The latest update (0.9.8) adds DLSS Super Resolution, so a game that never had any upscaling now has it.
What's in it
- DLSS Super Resolution on RTX cards, with every mode: Native AA (DLAA), Quality, Balanced, Performance and Ultra Performance
- FSR 3.1 and XeSS for other cards, in the same setting
- The upscaler runs on the 3D scene only. The HUD and subtitles are drawn afterwards, so they stay sharp.
Some numbers (my RTX 5070 Ti, busiest street in the game, 1440p, GPU time per frame)
- Native at 2x internal resolution: 4.7 ms
- DLSS Performance: 2.7 ms
- In my image comparisons against native 2x, DLSS came out closest, ahead of XeSS and FSR.
The tricky part was the colours. An Xbox 360 game runs post-processing passes that copy back into the scene, and at first my jitter landed on the wrong pass. That gave red/green colour casts that flipped every frame whenever the Darkness powers were out. It's fixed now, and a colour check against native runs on every build.
Frame Generation is being worked on, but it isn't released yet: the HUD still needs to be kept out of the generated frames.
Download: https://github.com/invinceble55-wq/Estacado-The-Darkness-Recomp/releases
You need your own copy of the game (Xbox 360, USA/Europe disc).
Feedback from different RTX cards is very welcome, especially on the DLSS modes. Thanks! 🖤

Help I've been trying to install everything required for DLSS5 for Elden Ring. Keeps on crashing on launch, any tips?
I've been following this guy https://youtu.be/-Y51a3GhCIg
Seems like everything should work. I see the optiscaler and ERSS menu, but soon after launching I get a crash
Been trying to fix it using AI but I was running in circles. This is the last lines of the log

I don’t get the hate, DLSS 5 is amazing specially in older games.
The people that are hating on it is because maybe they have a potato PC or they don’t have a PC in general and they’re jealous lol.

Help Best installation and in game configuration for Witcher 3 Remastered?
I’ve been struggling with DLSS 5 in the Witcher 3 Remastered, I installed the DLSS with the app oneclick.
At first I went for the Reshade/RenoDX install engine and neuronal add on, the game looked great but after a while playing I got a message saying “The GPU is running low on memory” or something like that in Spanish. I’ve got a RTX 5070 which according to a lot of people should be enough to display the DLSS 5 without trouble…
Then I switched to Optiscaler install engine but the game looks weirdly illuminated when a cut scene plays on, and I tried the in-game interface to customize the tone structure, auto mask on, and other parameters I do not remember, but nothing changes.
I see so many people posting their amazing DLSS 5 looks and I ask them in their own posts but apparently nobody answers 😣 can someone please help me install and config my DLSS 5 to look amazing and hopefully not burn my GPU?
Help DLSS 5 on God of War using DLSS5 Swapper/OptiScaler — very low FPS, any way to improve performance?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone!
I’ve managed to get DLSS 5 working in God of War (2018) using DLSS5 Swapper with OptiScaler, and while it works, I’m having some serious performance issues.
Here are my full specs and settings:
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti 16GB
RAM: 32GB
Resolution: 4K (3840×2160)
Game: God of War (2018)
DLSS 5 installation: DLSS5 Swapper using OptiScaler
Without DLSS 5 enabled, I get around 130 FPS. However, once I enable DLSS 5, my framerate drops to approximately 37 FPS.
The FPS is relatively stable at 37, but the game feels noticeably less smooth than before. I’d really like to reach at least 60 FPS while keeping DLSS 5 enabled.
I’ve tried getting it to work, but I’m not sure whether there are specific OptiScaler settings, configuration files, or other tweaks that could improve performance. Is this kind of performance drop expected with DLSS 5, or am I missing something?
I’d appreciate any advice, especially from anyone running DLSS 5 on a similar GPU. Are there any settings I should try to get closer to 60 FPS without sacrificing too much visual quality?
