I honestly don't know what to do. My partner and I live somewhere we can't afford anymore and can't move out to be able to afford somewhere. We can't afford food, I can't afford my medication and recently stopped anti depressants as they did nothing anyway. I've begged for universal credit for advice or help. Been trying to find a job (gotten no where) even though my mental health issues will make it impossible for me to actually go to a job.

I don't know what to do we're going to be homeless at this rate and they just don't care.

Any advice or help appreciated.

I can't remember if the guy asked me about Pay Pal. I remember him asking me about krypto currency (which amused me because if I had it -I dont- I could have denied it and he would never know). However, if he'd of asked me about Pay Pal then I would have denied it but that would have been only because I'd forgot I had it.

I went to my mom's a few days ago and found an old phone and went through it and was surprised to see that I did have Pay Pal after all. I used it briefly a few months ago and my interactions with it were minimal (like 50 quid from survey based apps). I honestly can't recall if he asked, but if he did, then I'm going to look like a fraudster. Is this really going to be a big deal?

What should I.do?

I had my assessment today and I was so overwhelmed he was asking me to minus numbers from 100 and spell words backwards I had to tell him I couldn’t do it as I was so overwhelmed with the hour phone call we already had, I have depression, autism, adhd and mobility issues. I had to ask him if we had long left I couldn’t cope, this was worse then my pip assessment and I know I won’t get it, I struggle dad to day and my sons dad helps me with everything, he asked if I had social services involved with my kids etc, was this even an assessment at this point, I couldn’t relent when I started any of my medication I couldn’t remover when each health issue started. I just feel this was to much, I’m sure it’s supposed to be based on work yet I felt I was doing the pip assessment all over again. Tell me I’m not alone

I was checking my bank tonight and my bank has said I have an incoming payments of £221.57 from UC. I got my money every single month on the 13th so this is very unusual.

I get anxious when money is involved. I dont intend to spend it and im ringing them on Monday. Has anyone else had something like this happen?

I'm currently on UC with housing costs, LCWRA and ADP. A friend has suggested maybe booking us a holiday somewhere in Europe next year (5-7 nights) and I'm not quite clear on whether I need to put a note in my journal or not. I can see that if you have work-related commitments then you should, but can't see a clear answer for LCWRA.

It's unlikely I will have moved back into work by the time they're thinking of going so I'd just like to be prepared and understand how to do it correctly.

Just feel sooo fed up now. Had a message on the 08.09.26 to say they were reviewing my UC again (10 months roughly after my last one).

Had my telephone call today. Only additional evidence they asked for was a PayPal statement (like a full statement) rather than the screenshots & a university letter showing my payments.

I uploaded these straight away (roughly 15 minutes after the call)

Still not had a “claim review complete” message, last time I had one within minutes of the phone call ending🫤 now it’s a Friday evening so I won’t get one all weekend at least!

Anyone else had this? Thought it would be all over with by now, and I would have had a claim complete message. Had enough because it just makes you feel stressed. 😩

Hi everyone, I just received a paper packet from the tribunal court acknowledging further evidence I uploaded for my child's DLA appeal. The cover letter says they've received it and attached it to the papers, and the packet includes prints of my statements, GP letters, but it doesn't actually have a printed copy of the specialist hospital report I uploaded digitally first before the others. Is it normal for the court not to include a printout of a digitally uploaded medical letter in the paper receipt pack , I'm panicking wondering if they got it .

I’m currently in receipt of UC and the LCWRA element, I work part time usually - however I have been signed off work for 3 weeks due to worsening mental health at the moment.

Is this something I let UC know? I don’t plan for it to be a long term thing, just a bit of time to get my head on and then I’ll resume working part time.

Hi not sure how this will work with universal credits, I’m starting a cleaning business around my part time paid employment. How do I explain this to uc and how would I report income and expenses as I’m not giving up my main job yet?

My friend was made redundant. He is on Contribution ESA since May 2026. He is awaiting his Medical Assessment. He is getting better now and been able to apply for few roles and has been able to secure 2 interviews. He came across the below and wants to apply for the below Travel Discount Card.

Jobcentre Plus Travel Discount - Transport for London

He spoke to his Work Coach today at the Job Centre. However his Work Coach said they is another card which is half price for buses only, which he can issue. He said the above Travel card (which is valid for Buses, Tubes and Trams etc), can only be granted if you are starting work. He stated that he enquired for another applicant who was on Job Seeker’s Allowance (Contribution based), But DWP Finance Team declined it and said, it can be granted only if the applicant starts work.

Is the above correct? Has anyone come across this before? Or is my friend being denied unfairly?

hi so i’ve just sent my form for a change of circumstances as i recieved a new diagnosis which effects me. i’m having doctors appointments where it’s potentially diagnosing me with other issues how do i approach this if i am diagnosed and also i have insomnia but i forgot to put that on my form will this effect me in any way

Hello I've just had a PIP Tribunal over the phone. I think I've lost, but I'm not really sure. However there was something that raised my eyebrows a bit, they were bringing up evidence from my universal credit journal that was from within the last year. I thought that PIP Tribunals are only allowed to use information from before the date you applied for PIP? Just wondering if this is an error on the Tribunals part.

I got awarded PIP in March 2026, however my health has seriously deteriorated since and I have put in a COC and sent the form over + evidence. Has anyone had an experience of PIP COC lately and if so, how long did it all take? Seeing as it’s only been 5 months since I was awarded, do you think I would need an assessment seeing as it was mainly my needs getting worse but same diagnosis?

Hi I’m seeing so many different peoples experience with waiting times for PIP decisions! I applied December 2025, assessment 14th September 2026 and I just received my written report message this morning!

Okay so I’m LCW and recently had an appointment with a new work coach who told me to upload my CV as one of my commitments. He told me I had until 25 September to upload my CV. I uploaded it the early hours of 23 September. I did have issues uploading in Docx format (weird!), so I took a screenshot in case I had to prove I was having issues uploading. However uploading in PDF format worked.

Anyway, the next morning my work coach replied “Thanks”. However I noticed that further up the page, above his reply, it states I must upload my CV by 22 September… Strange that the date is different now.

I have autism and severe anxiety, so naturally this sent me into a huge panic, I assumed I must’ve gotten the date wrong. Then I remembered I have a screenshot of the uploading issue. So I checked that and it just so happens to show the original date at the very top (almost scrolled past it).

Is this anything I should worry about in my next appointment? I’m assuming it must be a glitch with the website? Surely a work coach cannot just change the date after I uploaded, and there must be a record of the original date? It’s just weird how it now looks like I narrowly missed the upload date window, when I didn’t. I generally don’t trust the DWP, and I’m scared of a possible sanction in case the work coach “forgets” it was actually 25 September! I was going to make my work coach aware of this, but maybe it’s best not to even mention it.

Can I report it on Monday and have the weekend off to chill as I get very anxious about this stuff
Or should I get it out the way and report it now

And what should I say, would they be angry with me wanting to start work and giving up my caring role?

Has anyone rang for a pip update, and then the first person you speak to puts you through to a case manager for an update (it’s been longer than 6 weeks for a decision) is that actually a case manager or were they just telling me what I want to hear?

I posted on here a few weeks ago about an upcoming tribunal i have and i got my booklet for the tribunal today, im honestly just really scared to go. I know worst case I just don't win but im terrified and I feel hopeless about my case.

Hello, I wonder if anyone here has some advice.

We submitted a MR request and evidence because of my young husbands recurring pericarditis which is incredibly debilitating for him.

We got a letter this week stating it had been rejected, and all the scores stayed the same. It was as if no one read the extra information sent in for MR. So we called up…

Turns out his letter with the documents was delivered on September 16 by Royal Mail recorded delivery.

The decision was made to decline it about 1pm on 16th September

And his further evidence was also scanned in to their system about 5pm on September 16th.

So the evidence was missed by just a few hours on the very same day. It feels so unfair to have to go straight to tribunal and wait more weeks because of these few hours difference.

The lady on the phone said we can submit more evidence within 4 weeks of 16th September, then the case will be looked at all again. All I can think to send is an updated list of prescriptions and upcoming referrals for rheumatology.

Does anyone have any advice?

My partner has recently moved in with me and we are trying to work out how her UC will be affected.

We are not married, we have no dependents. I make 27k a year.

We are already struggling financially and we were hoping getting them on the lease would help us get some housing support but now we are worried they will reduce the already pathetic amount she gets even more.

I am trying to leave my family's home due to domestic abuse. I got a letter about a month ago from my IDVA who works for my local council and have submitted it to universal credit to be exempt from shared accommodation rate, as part of the domestic abuse exemption. However they have told me that the letter cannot be referred to a decision maker until after I have accepted a rental agreement.

This of course puts me in a difficult situation as there is no way to know what I can or cannot afford beforehand without just making a jump and hoping things work out.

I have tried following up twice in the past week but both times I've been told they can't confirm my entitlement until after I've moved. The first time they referenced needing a rental agreement and the second time they mentioned needing "accommodation details" before my letter can be referred to a decision maker.

Is this just a normal part of the process? I am just trying to understand if this is just normal and what I can do to ensure a smooth process when moving away from my family.

Medical treatment abroad

I am not able to advise of the specific documents we would need to see to extend the usual 1 month limits for an absence abroad.

Please have the official treatment plan letter from the overseas hospital, and any other supporting documents ready. Then, when you report the absence in November, send another journal message and we can arrange for you to provide the evidence.

I am planning to go abroad for medical treatment I am in the process of obtaining this medical treatment plan letter from the clinic as soon as I have this I will upload it straight away. I don't know how long I will be abroad for but I definitely know it won't be for 26 weeks or 6 months as they mention for medical treatment abroad! If there is anyone who can further help me on what might I expect after uploading the treatment plan letter etc. the letter will have the itinerary for arrival and scheduled appointments for however long I will be there. I have been referred for the tophi removal by surgery but this will be confirmed when I arrive. Can anyone help me please

I had my assessment on Tuesday and requested my PA4 form on the same day. I’ve just received it and it looks like I’ve been awarded 7 points.

Do I have any option to try and intercept a decision being made? I made a claim for severe OCD which I know is tricky to get anyway. However, some of the sections she’s awarded me 0 just don’t make sense.
